Mariah playing catch up now (43,066) by Me. I am Carly from USA
I fully expect Mariah to be looking A++. Stellar when we see the anniversary pictures. I honestly believe that she did not intend to go to the Billboard shoot because she wants to be on her A game with the newest photos. I did not buy the got kicked in the face story, I bet she feels like she is to focused right now on trying to pull things together to be ready for a full article and shoot.

Happy 6th Anniversary to Mariah and Nick. Also, happy 3rd birthday to DemBabies, Monroe and Moroccan. This is such a special day for Mariah, I am sure she will keep her followers updated with how she is celebrating.

I seem to notice (43,063) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
I seem to notice some fans come to this message board to vent and complain about the same thing. As a fan from 1902 I can say I don't agree with all that MC does but she is human and she has to live with her choices. I am frustrated with the album politics but that doesn't mean I won't support MC because of it. That's how the music industry works, all artists go through this at some point. Ask any successful act and they will tell that this is how the music business works. By the way, happy 3rd birthday to Roc and Roe and happy 6th anniversary to Mr.and Mrs. Cannon. Enjoy your festive day.

Wonderland Magazine (43,062) by Bradley Zirker from United States
What is with all the negative comments involving Mariah Carey's cover on Wonderland Magazine? Personally I think she looks amazing. Especially at her age plus two kids. It is so sad to see people bash her like that. She is a mother, but she is a grown woman at the same damn time. If she wants to show some skin, then she has the right. If it was Rihanna, Beyoncé, Katy Perry or Ciara, then it would be fine with everybody but because it's Mariah Carey, it is a issue. Get the [censored] outta here with all of that bullshit. Mariah Carey is gorgeous.

Rappers collabo (43,061) by Alex from England
It is funny to me reading that "every song has to have a rapper on it" when all 17 songs off MOAIA had no rappers on them and when only 1 out of 5 songs released since 2012 included raps. What I do know for sure is people will never be satisfied, you just can't please everyone at the same time and that's normal. Also I think I should remind some people about who Mariah is:
- A woman who has liked acting sexy since 1997 and it is NOT gonna change.
- A woman whose voice has lost some of its early shine and will lipsynch sometimes but can still sing.
- A woman who doesn't have to communicate with fans and yet does. Maybe not every day like some of you would like though.
- A woman who is an artist, therefore will write/sing songs she likes hopefully some people will connect. Some of you should stop thinking Mariah will cater to your special needs just because you feel she should listen to you as you have bought all her previous albums.
At the end of the day, Mariah will be Mariah and those who complain about any and everything about her should face themselves in the mirror and maybe learn the "art of letting go". Peace.

Ready (43,060) by Darryle from USA
I'm so ready for this album to be released. I'm done with all the confusion and the will it be all at once digital or same time stuff. I just want the album out on May 6th whether it's completely digital or physical copies I could care less.

Expectations (43,059) by George Golden from UK
From the look of that magazine cover Mariah is not going to "let go" of her "sexy image". I think she doesn't really care about the music anymore, just how she looks. It's sad because I don't really have a great expectation for the new album because she is imprisoned by that hip hop barbie image. The music is suffering. Every song has to have a rapper. Every video has to be tacky and trashy. It's frustrating to see such an amazing star fall from grace. The music is not evolving, still the same hip hop beats from 2005 ruining what would be great songs. The sexy thing is just so overplayed now, it's beyond ridiculous. If you are sexy and beautiful, you don't have to try hard at it. The Mariah Carey that most of us fell in love with is sadly not here anymore.

Most plausible album titles (43,058) by juan from Dubai
Thats funny. Too obvious, but I wish it'd be enigmatic, conceptual, but not corny or cliche. I'm new here, by the way, 90's fan. I have been a visitor since 2005 or earlier, I guess.

You're mine (43,056) by Dan from US
I think the only reason it failed as a single is due to the cover art when you purchase it on iTunes. Who wants to look at candy hearts after Valentine's Day? It was a terrible choice for a cover. Thumbs up if you agree.

Re: Jeremey (43,055) by Orkun from The Netherlands
I agree completely with you. #Beautiful is the best song imo in a long time and very fresh. My definite favorite of the bunch. To me, Beautiful is the only exception. Great song. The rest was not creative or new at all. I promise I want to be wrong so much. And if she does have fesh sounds and good songs, I will post on here with a big happy smile on my face and say "now that's our girl".

Random thoughts (43,054) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah looks really good on the cover of Wonderland, although I do wish she didn't feel the need to take off her clothes so much. But hey, whatever, it's her choice to make. So yes, she looks hot but does the cover layout seem a little amateurish to anyone else? I really didn't hear about this magazine before (we don't get it here) but are the layouts always like this? It seems like someone just put random things on it. And although M looks good, something is missing, maybe the stark white background is a little bland? I don't know, something just seems missing. But moving on, so Mariah is listed to be on Letterman, CNN's Leading Women and the Today show concert. I hope we see a lot of her in starting from the first of May. If she wants her album to do well, she obviously needs to show up almost everywhere to let people know about it. I am sure a lot of people, even some fans are not aware of the album. She needs to really promote it and not leave it midway like she did with the singles. Beautiful was such a lost opportunity, it reached number 15 with almost no publicity, and had the potential to crack top 10 if not top 5 had she promoted it more. Same with You're Mine. Some lambs didn't like it (but I loved it and a lot of non lambs loved it too) so that song doesn't deserve to be at 88. It was just due to the lack of promotions. So I hope Mariah doesn't repeat the same mistake.

Most plausible album titles (43,053) by rooftop from lebanon
Thinking about that "possession and entity" MC had most of her life I came up with two plausible suggestions that would fit beautifully as the album title : 1: "Marilyn's White Piano", 2: "The Butterfly Ring". What do you all think?

Release date (43,052) by enwar00 from usa
I hope that the album is released before the Today performance on 5/16, so that they can capitalize on that promo. Also, so we can have it sooner than later.

Can we please stop with all of the alcohol comments. I think it's so hilarious. I mean I know you can say what you want and it's a free country but the alcohol comments make my eyes roll all the way back in my head. You act like she's a drunk or something. I'm thinking the people who get "nervous" about Mimi's "drinking" don't have a splash. I have wine with dinner and drink on the weekends and it's not my security blanket. Hahaha give it a rest.

All of me (43,050) by Jeremey Carey from United States
I've noticed how long "Happy" has been number one and I don't want it to reach 14 weeks. Do you guys think it would be possible if you could help me promote "All of me" by John Legend? He isn't really a threat for any MC stats and he'd be a quick fix to dethrone "Happy" before it comes for "One sweet day"s record.

The IDJ issue / Ariana's "Problem" (43,049) by Edward from USA
It is evident that Mariah is on a long term fight with IDJ. I think they're trying to make her life miserable before she leaves them. It seems to be that they didn't think the music Mariah had produced was well cooked. I can't wait for Mariah to go independent. In that way she could release what she wants whenever she wants. It could be EP's or full albums, but she would be completely in control. Even though I don't like the idea of Mariah being completely in control either. Maybe then she could be confident enough to write songs by herself a la Butterfly. Mariah is a such a good lyricist, but having a team of co-writers have taken some of the Mariah out of the music she's produced. I'm happy Ariana's "Problem" is exploding on the charts, because Pharrell's "Happy" is a threat to the "One Sweet Day" record.

Ummm (43,048) by Marissa from USA
I like the Wonderland cover but why does she she have to have alcohol in her hand though? It's beginning to look like her security blanket in everything she does. I cringed as soon as I saw it in the picture.

Twisterman (43,047) by Joanna from Poland
I totally concur with you on the matter of MC's lyrics. I am of the opinion that Petals is Mariah's best song when lyrics is concerned. It is profound, allegorical and diverse. Her last song that has got deeper lyrics is Languishing. However, in general I think her lyrics has recently deteriorated. Still looking forward to the new album.

No, no, no (43,046) by Joyce from USA
The more I look at that new pic in her panties and bra, with the her arms and coat strategically placed to give the appearance of a thinner body frame, is just so silly as is the side head turn to get her "best side" for the camera. The whole photo just does not look natural. Fail. Tyra Banks would tear this photo apart in ANTM.

What? (43,045) by Joyce from USA
So, the new photo-shoot in black lingerie, "Laun'jarea" as I wish it was spelled, is Mrs. M serving up the same old sex themed look. It's not trashy but it's just not classy. What is the voice of reason in her mind that approves this look? Who cares really? She looks hot now but it is a look for her that is getting worn out as she don't know what else to do. Is this foreshadowing of what's to come, grandma MC in 2024 with big old toopy dritties hanging out on stage?

Re: Orkun (43,044) by Jeremey Carey from United States
Honestly, I have to disagree with you. If you can tell me one song of Mariah that sounds like #Beautiful then maybe I'd agree more. I think she's trying to give this album a different sound and feel. And even with the layout of TAOLG, she hasn't done a layout like that in awhile. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think she's going to give us "Mariah" when we get this album. We'll just have to wait and see.

Future releases from Mariah (43,043) by Isabelle from USA
After this album, I wish she would go independent artist. Island didn't do any good for her after the release of E=MC2. After LA Reid left I believe she would finally get some justice, because everything good he starts with he ends up wrecking it. Now Island and Def Jam split, Def Jam her new label is packed with so many artist and I don't know how are they going to be able give her justice. She should be and indie artist so she can release music without a label telling her what they think might be a hit. I can see her getting a distributor deal with Sony or WMG. I really liked #Beautiful and somewhat The Art of Letting Go they didn't rely on to much synthesizer, wasn't pleased with YME because of the simplicity of the song. I just can't wait for this album and her getting out of Universal.

Mariah on Wonderland magazine (43,042) by ADAM from USA
Check out Mariah on the cover of Wonderland magazine, shot by Terry Richardson. She's fully exposed again wearing lingerie and panty hose with an open trench coat and gloves. This sex kitten look is so played and tired, I'm mean come on now you are over the hill and someone's mom now. Move on. I'm not saying she needs to be dressed like a nun, but I think we can all agree that no one needs to see all that anymore at the age of 44.

Antonio (43,041) by Marissa from USA
I couldn't agree more Antonio. Ariana's debut album came out in 2013. Mariah's came out in 1990. They are clearly two different generations of singers so I don't understand why so many lambs go in on Ariana on Facebook, Twitter and even this messageboard as if they're competition. Whether you think she is a "copycat" or not, out of the younger generations singers like Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, etc. she is by far the best vocalist. Even if you aren't a fan of hers, I think it's extremely harsh that there are like 45 year old lambs that have so much animosity towards someone who's 25 years their junior. Mariah's success is untouchable and damn near impossible in the current state of music, so why worry?
