Mariah’s handprints and footprints (79,159) by darrian liu from taiwan
That was hilarious. Mariah was being such an extra diva lol I just can't take this. Also, she looked absolutely gorgeous and classy. She's been looking like a literal goddess, especially with that golden-nude dress she had for The Star performance. Simply stunning, and I'm so excited for AIWFCIY's inevitable return to the Hot 100.

Re: Lil Snowman (79,152) (79,158) by Musti from UK
Have you heard Kelly Clarkson's version? Definitely in the same vein musically. I love Lil Snowman so much more though.

Re: Lil Snowman (79,141) (79,157) by Musti from UK
Definitely has that vibe. It also reminds me of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). Not the kind of song you would expect her to record. I'm so happy that she's making memorable music again. This is the most original thing she's done since the songs she did for Tennessee.

Re: Brett (79,153) (79,156) by Andrew from UK
So if I accuse you of molestation you're automatically guilty? The assumption of guilt based upon accusation without evidence is a very dangerous position to take and suggests lack of intelligence or bad character in those who assume it. If Tanaka accused Mariah Carey of sexual assault, would you immediately shun her or rather ask for facts and evidence? If the assault were historic and without possibility of being backed up by evidence would you just assume there once was evidence and it lost, thus apportioning guilt? If it was broadcast in the form of contribution to public witch hunt would you not at least question Tanaka's integrity and wonder why he didn't go to the police but rather jumped on a publicity bandwagon? People are innocent until proven guilty. And if you can't prove their guilt, tough. That's the way modern Western society is. It's not okay to ruin the lives of one innocent to put ten guilty persons behind bars.

I'm not back up. I'll be the one pushing play on your prerecord on New Year's Eve.

Drew, you're the epitome of genius. Thanks for the suggestion. I know you want to be the lead, but I think backup would suit you better.

Re: Brett (79,147) (79,153) by RibbonB from USA
Yes Brett always turned my stomach. I bet if this news hadn't dropped he would have been at the handprint ceremony like he was at her walk of fame event. Hopefully she will drop all public support if not all support to her. "Aries brother" going forward. Unfortunately there are lots of Hollywood sleazeballs.

My first thought was "Run Rudolph Run".

I also can't stop listening to it. Like "Unforgettable" but for different reasons, this is fresh and new. She's finally stepped outside of her comfort zone and not gone for the ballad/R&B vibe.

She did look good. She's obviously hired new handlers. At least a new stylist and hair and makeup people. Is Stella's reign of terror over?

Re: Brent (79,148) (79,149) by MusicfanJ from Germany
However, it's good to know if this business partnership/friendship is over. I remember during the MTV special for "Heartbreaker" Ratner said if Mr. O'Connell isn't available for the video to play Mariah's boyfriend, he would love to do it. But I guess he was smart enough to play the nice guy while he was with a-list celebtities. To say something positive about Hollywood, I love the new pics where Mariah is honored at the Chinese theatre with her handprints. She looked so beautiful. Her latest fashion choices are really good.

Re: Brent (79,146) (79,148) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Ok let's be real here, Mariah didn't cut ties with Brett because of this. She didn't cut ties with him at all as far as we know. He was even featured on her show. I'm not saying that makes Mariah a bad person, it really doesn't but Mariah is friends with R Kelly who has been accused of a lot a messy things including pedophila and she performed with him even recently. She is also friends with Mayweather.

Re: Brent (79,146) (79,147) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I never liked him as a person. I can imagine that it's true what all the women are saying about him. He looks like an abuser. And James Packer was used by him for the business. Brat Ratner seems like a typical selfish user. I hope Mariah will never ever meet him again. He was the real poison, because he introduced the "Russian clan" to Mariah. And MC trusted him, "the Aries brother". I hope all the celebrity's will tell the truth about the rat, career should be over soon.

Dont know if it's true, but he is the latest one in the spotlight for sexual harassment. No wonder Mariah cut ties.

Re: Lil Snowman (79,138) (79,145) by B from USA
I love both The Star and Lil Snowman. The Star is a classic Carey ballad that has revived my faith in Mariah the balladeer. Her voice is in fine form. Lil Snowman is fun and it's as catchy as the flu.

Re: iTunes Charts (79,139) (79,144) by B from USA
With the exceptions of TAOLG and YDKWTD, which weren't actually given proper commercial releases, every single Mariah's released has charted on the Hot 100 and the R&B charts.

R&B (79,143) by B from USA
Mariah Carey has always been an R&B singer, but she wasn't necessarily seen as one during the 90s, when R&B ballads were also chart-topping pop music. Mariah is still a successful R&B artist and when R&B makes a comeback so will she. I Don't reached #89 on the Hot 100 and #35 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Infinity reached #82 on the Hot 100, #22 on the Adult R&B Songs chart, and #28 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and You're Mine (Eternal) reached #88 on the Hot 100, #24 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and #15 on the Hot R&B Songs chart.

Eddie and the Delulons. That is your band name. Form a band immediately and call it that.

Lil Snowman is wicked. But, seriously, can you not hear "Johnny B Goode"?

Re: New interview (79,132) (79,140) by Andrew from UK
*sigh* Don't make me copy and paste some of the endless delusions and lies you frequently post, for you know they exist. Since you seem to think it bothers me that you confuse my gender, let me tell you it doesn't because you don't matter. You're a liar and liars don't matter. That you think homosexuals or those whom you perceive to be homosexuals are fodder to be called feminine or female is okay is simply gross bigotry from someone who screams social justice at the slightest offense. I assume you can't reconcile being a bible basher with being a bum basher.

Update: #68 United States (+73)
It's exciting, to see MC on the charts again. Even if it's only for the holiday season.

I can't stop listening to this song. It's amazing. It has all the hallmarks of a Christmas classic. She should promote this song, or at least add it to her Christmas shows. Christmas genius.

Lol I have heard that within the hip hop community as well so you are not alone. I definitely prefer his writing and producing skills to his rapping.

I've always preferred this version. JD and Mariah make great music together but JD as a rapper is just plain annoying lol.
