The voice dilemma (65,595) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter My wish for Mariah would be to embrace the flaws in her current voice and just go ahead and sing entirely live, because let's be real, even on her worst day, she can out shine any of the current artists. She just needs to take care of her voice a little better and maybe rest it right before the performances. But I understand her need to lip sync sometimes. It's because people just expect way too much from her vocally. I mean even on this board how many times have we heard "oh Mariah lost her voice" or "Mariah can't sing like she did in the early 90s", whenever she tries to sing with her current voice live. We all know Mariah is terribly self conscious and it's because of this very reason how people just expect her to sound pitch perfect and flawless all the time and expect her to sound exactly like early 90s Mariah, this causes her to resort to lip syncing. If fans were maybe more open to letting her just use her current voice without complaining about every tiny flaw, I think she'd have at least attempted to sing completely live. And this whole voice scrutinizing only happens with Mariah because when Adele delivers a bad performance, it's always "oh the back up messed up" (which wasn't untrue, but had she messed up either ways, people would still give her the "everyone has bad days" pass). Every time Mariah messes up we get the "oh she has no right to mess up when she dubs herself the best selling female artist/The Voice". No one can doubt Mariah has an immensely beautiful voice. Over the years it didn't stay as smooth, but to constantly judge her for that and then comparing her to other artists who have managed to keep their voice is a little too much. The way all of us have different way our body reacts to age and other factors, voices of different people change differently too. There is no rule of thumb. Unfortunately I think it's too late to ask Mariah to sing live because now she's already been driven over the edge of trying to sound perfect and that's an insecurity she won't ever get over. It's a shame really because she still has the most beautiful voice I've heard. (Wednesday 24 August 2016; 18:17)

New #1 soon (65,587) by Haiji Toro from USA Unfortunately, that #1 doesn't look like it'll be from Mariah. This song is off of a Netflix Original Series soundtrack and was released just a few weeks ago. I predict it to be a huge smash. I just wish it was Mariah singing it. I still love it though. Miming theory (65,586) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines Okay this may paint Mariah as a bit too vain, but let's be straight here - she has progressively obsessed about her appearance in just about everything she does what with her constant hair flips and acting as if she's completely surrounded by mirrors and cameras all the time. So yeah, Mariah mimes a good 30-40% of her shows these days. Aside from the fact that it's simply become more of a struggle for her to hit the usual money notes, and the valid yet abused excuse of her "saving her voice", I feel like another good reason why she lips is because she wants to be able to get through even the most difficult performances as pretty and poised as possible. We know that when she just lets go, she can really almost mimic, if not even surpass certain parts of the recorded versions of her songs, albeit nowadays that comes with the price of her running around directionless on stage with her arms madly waving in all places. The worst part is that she doesn't seem to think that this is the biggest thing that gives her away. Most recent case in point, she'd lip the first 2 lines of the second My All chorus, pause for a second and then come in live at "'cause I can't go on..." until the chorus ends. You clearly see how she somehow even manages to smile while "singing" those first 2 lines while she struggles a bit with the following lines, which are supposed to be easier to sing. In fairness to her for this particular song, it is hard to belt out the beginning of the chorus when it pretty much segues from the end of the preceding verse, but that's the problem. But still, don't pretend to sing a difficult part of any song with such ease and serene facial expression only to expose that you faked it later on by showing signs of struggle when the singing the less challenging parts and then think that you have everybody fooled. She must stop keeping up this ideal of looking pretty, sexy and perfect every time she performs. Early Mariah managed to hit those high notes more easily and gracefully in the past and yet she rarely wanted to act out any intention of seducing the audience. Now she just can't seem to do without the fake-sexy-come-hither-gaze-while-feeling-herself-all-over-too-much routine. Her efforts are split between looking great while sounding good and while that's still possible to some extent, it just makes one wonder what magic would happen if that energy went into actually trying to nail the song. Silly Packer, putting on Beyonce. You never know, he might have actually switched on the radio when Beyonce just happened to come on and that's what pissed her off. Not Bey, but the radio. Labels and duets (65,583) by Andrew from UK Is it so hard to believe record labels won't want anything to do with Mariah? I predicted such a possibility ages ago whilst everyone delated if Mariah was a queen with a capital Q or a little one lol. Who would want to be party to a big contract with somebody who writes self-indulgent music that won't do well on the charts, who doesn't promote as other artists do, who has been written off as a laughable has-been by the general public, whose private life is all tits and tiaras, who relies on lipsync to get through even the simplest of songs - and whilst all this is going on, still has the cheek to act superior to everybody else? Which further brings the duet debate to a conclusion: it's all well and good naming which artists Mariah should duet with (Adele, Beyonce, usw.) but the likelihood of them wanting to be associated with Mariah and her awful image and career at the moment is, I imagine, a big fat round zero. The artists named on this board are relevant and treat themselves, their careers and their fans with respect. Mariah has lost the plot in spectacular style. How did that petition about her social media work out? It is likely she saw it and, if so, evident she doesn't give a chap. Being dropped or having nobody strike up a new contract may be the slap around the head Mariah needs. Maybe then she will have to wake up and start respecting things again. At the very least she can write a woe-is-me song about it and some of the bleating lambs here can find new people to blame for Mariah'a trashing of her own career. (Wednesday 24 August 2016; 9:52)

Beyonce rumor (65,579) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter The Bey rumor is getting serious. A lot of sites are picking it up. I usually think it's better for Mariah not to respond to these, but I think in this case it'd be better to give a subtle "clap back" by maybe putting up a video of her singing along to Beyonce or playing her music in the background (like she had in an old video, where she was in the car and Beyonce's "Party" was playing in the background). This new rumor is getting so much importance that even people I know who don't even read the tabloids much and let alone bother to know about Mariah, are aware of this. But of course Stella won't take any measure to fix this, because previously when the rumors were buried before it spread the fire, the Chambers Group was the one representing Mariah and burying those rumors while flooding the news with more positive stuff. Ever since they left, we have a plethora of negative articles and no one from her camp can do crap. So now you should know that before you give credit to Stella for "reviving" Mariah's career, this woman will basically have immature and unprofessional clap backs as a response to things and she will only respond to it when people are doubting her intentions or attacking her daughter. Would be kind of cool if she did an impromptu verse with Monica and Missy and Queen Larifiah or Lil Kim, for the nostalgia. This is standard operating procedure over at Blind Gossip. The picture is typically one of the biggest clues. I imagine once people start posting and making guesses, we will find that most people will guess MC. Again, I sooooo hope I am wrong, but I have a bad feeling. And by golly, one more thing, lol. If you click the link leading to the "related story" in the blind item that I believe is about MC, it takes you to a picture of Mariah and a previous blind item where she is mentioned. Week after week she tried being nice to Lazoro even though his singing was off key a lot and he spent more time forgetting the lyrics then singing them, while Mariah was taking flak from everyone about being to nice of a judge and giving no critques. Then the one and first time she gives tells him she didnt like his performance he goes backstage a brings up one if not the most diffcult and painful time in Mariah's life in 2001. Low class dude, low class. That attitude will get you know where. By the way when is Lazoro's first album coming out? [sarcasm] I'm sure Mariah will be the first one to buy it while she sits reminicing on her days back in 2001 while sitting on her millions, oops I mean in a couple months billions. They give various clues throughout the article and all signs point to her. I've posted a link to the story. It basically says record execs are fed up with her shenanigans and that she may not have a record label very much longer. This also may fit with LA Rieds tweet. Hoping I'm wrong. RJJ12 (65,566) (65,571) by Will from England I recently watched some of the performances from Rainbow/#1s eras and I think she's considerably better than those performances. To me, her voice was stuck, not being able to reach the high belts, not being able to hold the note(s) the way she'd previously done (with the exception of some of the high notes). Compare this performance of VOL from the Rainbow tour to her performance at Vegas. Mass improvement in every way. Just my thoughts. (Tuesday 23 August 2016; 22:55)

Beyoncé / new music video (65,570) by MusicfanJ from Germany I watched Music Deluxe on TV and I saw the clip Sorry from Beyoncé. Must be very new. The clip almost looked like a Rihanna one and the song is so weak. For me Beyoncé is overhyped. Destiny's Child were fresh and a power "girl-group". But today Miss Beyoncé is totally mainstream. Her voice is ok, but not so special. Adele is way better. Mariah should do a duet with somebody special or even unknown. Something surprisingly would be nice and not again a rapper. Nothing against them, but we had it so many times. Retro-soul would be a dream. Leon Bridges has a beautiful voice. (Tuesday 23 August 2016; 22:39)

His talent is marginal as with most of those kids performing on these talent competitions. These are folks you can find walking in a mall. Maybe his looks can get him a modeling contract but I wouldn't hold my breath for a record contract.
