CD versions (43,362) by Gilbert from USA
So maybe this is just me. I've been searching online during some free time and I'm noticing that the CD versions are more expensive maybe because it's a hard copy? Or maybe there is different bonus tracks. I think that would be neat, maybe that #Beautiful Dance Mix she played on the Lamb line.

You sound silly. So what is she going to do for the Today Show next Friday? She gonna go on stage and talk? Just because she's not doing what you think is right doesn't mean she "can't sing". I think Letterman said it best last night with his words of advice for MC. And I really hopes she listens. People on this messageboard sound like who she was talking about in her CNN interview.

Mariah is over, part 7284 (43,360) by Matthew from USA
Yes. It's official now. Mariah is no longer able to sing live. She is now only physically able to sing while within the confines of a studio. And we all know the reason the album was pushed back so much is because it takes a tremendous amount time as well as a team of hundreds to digitally piece together the ruined mess that is her voice. How do we know this you ask? We know this because she didn't sing on Letterman.

Mariah, album, tracklist, interviews and so on (43,359) by Sunshine Divalamb from Germany
I think it's kind off sad to see how negative a lot of these messages here are. Yes this isn't Mariah's best era I agree. But some of you are picking apart every little thing, like it's more about pointing at things that are seen as negative than anything else. She can't do antything right no matter what. From the name of the album, the tracklist, the album cover, her interviews etc. etc. For me personally Mariah is human and she can't make everybody happy but enough is enough already.

Letterman (43,358) by THE TRUTH from USA
Nina, it is ridiculous to say that MC can't sing live anymore. She has sung live brilliantly recently ie right after the Jimmy Kimmel Show. She has a medical condition that causes her to be inconsistent in all areas of her life. Haven't you noticed her fidgeting and sometimes erratic rambling? This is not new and while splashing does exacerbate it, drinking is not the cause. She is being ridden to the bank by a cabal of folks who are taking advantage of the ever worsening condition she's been in since 2001. Mariah's accomplishments are legendary and her fans should really stop waiting to celebrate over her rotting corpse. Her release comes out soon, and it'll be great or it won't, will be a success or not and it's as simple as that. She's still one of the best things to ever happen to pop music, period.

Lambs, please stop complaining (43,357) by Bobby A from United States
We have the tracklisting. We have a confirmed release date. We have the cover art. And everyday that I come to this website, all I read is negative comments and unhappiness about every decision Mariah makes for her new album. If she wants to add "America the Beautiful' to the Japanese edition, so be it. It is her decision and probably a fantastic studio version that I can't wait to hear. We as Lambs should be making plans to buy 2 copies of her CD when it comes out. We should be supporting Mariah as an established artist with numerous awards and acolades. She is not a new artist and we need to stop treating her as such. If she never has another #1 number single or album, she is set financially for life. I have one request for all the complainers during the next 3 weeks, let talk about the positive things and accomplishments MC has done throughout her career. If we want her to feel our love for her, support and don't hate. I am sure that we will have a new single next week for her to promote on the Today show. Greg Curtis ( Keyshia Cole - I Remember) produced Heavenly (No Ways Tired/Can't Give Up Now). Betcha Gon Know with R. Kelly is a new studio version recorded in Chicago in 2012. It's A Wrap is also new and recorded recently. Does anyone know who produced One More Try? Remember support and don't hate.

My final comments on the topic (43,356) by G.G. from USA
I myself said I thought it was strange to include the track on the Japan only release. My sarcastic comment was because PJW made a rude comment about how the world views the U.S. Lets be clear, I could write long negative and factual diatribes about the U.K. and Canada, like others on this board have done regarding the U.S., but I won't. For the record, North America is a continent, not a country. Done, and moving back to the topic of this board. Mariah.

America the Beautiful (43,355) by Bill from the UK
Who would have thought Mariah adding a bonus track on her album would incite a political and economic debate on this humble little messageboard. It's just a song, it ain't that deep. Just making a statement of my own opinion. I liked the Letterman interview, it wasn't the car crash I was expecting to be honest. Can't wait for the album.

It's official after Letterman appearance (43,354) by Nina from USA
Mariah apparently can't sing live anymore. How could she go on Letterman two weeks before the release of her album and not sing? What a huge disappointment. I don't get it.

Good point, and I completely agree, as that is also my experience. They just don't "get" Mariah here. And I don't "get" why haha. Oh well. I guess that's why it's so wonderful to have a place like this where we can all meet and share our passion. For UK users this could be Mariah Fans Anonymous haha.

Geronimo (43,351) by Anthony Basco from Cardiff, Wales
My husband is from the Phillipines as is his mother. You're speaking from visiting experience, I'm sharing my husbands views and his family's as Filipinos who were actually born and lived there. He doesn't speak for all Filipinos just as I don't speak for all British but his opinion is as valid as any other. I don't know who you think you are with your "you can tell a lot from the posts on this board" comment. I simply said that the States is not seen as the devil by everyone.

Japan tracklist (43,350) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I found it really weird that America the Beautiful was on the deluxe CD. I was looking forward to some new songs in the international release. Mariah had 4 years, and she gives that song on an international release? No offense to Americans, I am not judging anyone's nationality, but I think a lot of US lambs are also wondering the same. Yes it's true that American culture has inspired more or less every nation, even here in my country, but come on really?

Mariah (43,349) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
From the little portion of the interview I saw, Mariah is again talking about how she doesn't care about the single, she wants the album to be heard as a whole. I love and respect Mariah but I call bull**** on that. Come on Mariah, you attempted 3 separate singles (I am excluding TAOLG as it was "for the fans") to launch this album, and everytime it didn't hit #1 she kept delaying the album. Let's not kid ourselves, she's been trying to release the album since 2012 with all the MC Summer 2012 campaign and what not. However as soon as triumphant bombed, Mariah vanished and the song was later dubbed vaguely as "a song for Nick" or "buzz single". Then came a string of other singles, and apart from Beautiful each time a single didn't do well it was called "for the fans" and what not. Moreover she keeps talking about how she has 18 #1s, which in all honesty she should be proud of. So why pretend that you don't care for a hit single, when you really do. Mariah could have had a hit from atleast one of the 4 singles (including TAOLG) if only she would have promoted it more. Triumphant even had potential eventhough lambs hated it, but it was catchy and nowadays catchy sells. TAOLG, often cited as for the fans, wasn't for the fans. If that was the case she would have just released it on fb and announced it on twitter and whatever. She instead did multiple radio interviews, Fallon and even had a better cover photo than her official singles. Something went wrong and it got abandoned.

America the Beautiful (43,348) by tadatorao from japan
The inclusion of America the Beautiful probably has nothing to do with patriotism. They have omitted the titled track to make room for a bonus, so it's more about length of time of the song. The spoken dialogue of the title track means not much to Japanese, so they gotta find an 18th track which would fit into the disc space. Obviously Triumphant and Almost Home are too lengthy. If we talk about pushing of sales figure, Almost Home would have been a fitting choice as Japanese devout anything Disney. Before the bonus track was confirmed, the track list for the Japanese edition ended with a note of "bonus track under negotiation". I wonder if Mariah was ever involved in the selection of bonus track. It looks like more of a job by the record company. I will order the standard US edition and the Japanese edition.

David Letterman (43,347) by Darryle from USA
I just finished the interview and it was good compared to what we've gotten so far this era. There was no new info revealed just more talk about the title and how it should be heard as one, same old same old. The rest of the interview was about acting and Dem Babies. Even though it was uninformative to me I still have to applaud Mariah for keeping the diva moments at a low number even if they should be at a low number all the time. I think I said it before but I'll say it again, I think when Mariah gets on a platform where she's in a serious environment she'll keep it serious and the diva moments are at a minimum. The Breakfast Club was full of diva but that interview was all fun to everyone there pretty much. But this one was serious and so was Mariah. She'd never do the Breakfast Club type stuff with Oprah or The View or morning news like Today show. But anyways the interview was good but hopefully the next will be informative.

Single (43,346) by Darryle from USA
I saw a tiny bit of the Letterman interview and Mariah seemed like she was annoyed with everyone asking about when's the new single coming out because she wants it to be less single focused and more like a story and viewed as a whole. After hearing this I don't think there will be a single until after of the day of the release. Which in my opinion is a bad idea. Her album preorder isn't in the top 50 which is bad and Ariana Grande's Problem has debuted at number 3 and MJ's Love Never Felt So Good number 20. Mariah's got tough competition if she wants to beat out everyone and debut at the top. Although that doesn't seem to be her goal this album it seems like it's more about us hearing the album as one instead.

Her longest album since Charmbracelet (43,345) by Isabelle from USA
It appears that the standard album will clock in about a bit more than a hour making it the and it looks like One More Try cover will also be extended longer than the original. This information was announce through Universal Australia. And I'm started to get more excited about the album and the possible remixes she may already worked on. Mariah likes getting ahead in to producing dance remixes while working on the album cuts.

Letterman interview (43,344) by Martyn from England, UK
I hate to be a buzzkill Betty, but what a disappointment. Covered the same old topics and then before you knew it she was gone. Her Letterman interviews are really good, but 8 minutes? Barely worth it.

Anthony / Mariah in the U.K. (43,343) by PJW from The U.K.
I agree, but I don't think the UK is really a fan of Mariah's vocal style either. It's the first thing I hear about from non fans, everytime. That and her diva image, the sarcasm of which has gone over everyone's head as she's persisted in the joke thus voiding it's humor as it's all we see. But yeah, it's odd and sad that people like Kylie are heralded as UK greats but Mariah isn't.

For the record (43,341) by PJW from The U.K.
I didn't ever state that I personally dislike the United States not did I "bash" it. G.G. sarcastically responded to my comment by claiming that the U.S. Is the most popular country on the planet as "everybody looks towards it to lead the way, especially on money". This is incorrect and biased and I have a right to respond to that. I don't believe I actually criticised the U.S. Per se, but I did clarify it's position by guiding G.G. towards information that will educate, inform and put things into context. The only place I can see where people might take offence is by my saying that externally, America is not seen as "The Beautiful", and even then offence isn't justified as it's a fact. I can't lie just to please others. To use your comparison Edward, it'd be like Leona releasing "Rule Brittania" as the international bonus track. You'd have every right to question it and highlight how odd it is, stating both political fact and public opinion that Britannia's rule is rather diminished. I wouldn't take it as a "bashing" or criticism because a) it's true and b) I'm an individual. Bringing in your point Anthony, I agree, the politics of the entire G7, including my own country, pretty much disgust me. I lean more towards Bhutans stance on GDP (or GDH we should say) But then I wouldn't respond to something in a cocky and uninformed manner that only goes towards reinforce stereotypes of the country I seek to exult. I love Americans. I love the U.S. I lived there, my family are there. I've been in relationships with Americans, I'm even considering moving back there. There's a lot about it that's incredible. Saying that, I have a right to find it odd and question why Mariah would include a track like "America the beautiful" as an international bonus, and express (using fact and in context of it being international) how this isn't appealing to persons outside the U.S. in a similar way to how Beyonces "Proud to be an American" wasn't. Much love to all U.S citizens, please don't take my comments personally.

Babbathon on Letterman (43,340) by Danny Braden from Uk
Whoever said they hope Mariah doesn't babble on Letterman well, she did. She babbled a good 8 minutes about her kids punching other kids lol. It was good babble though fun and off the wall which of late she's become more of which isn't a negative thing. At least she's interesting but she does ramble on to the point the original question or comment is lost. Sure it's like a defense mechanism.

Letterman (43,338) by Paul from Usa
Mariah did an outstanding job. I applaud her for conducting herself. Something is def going on with her weight though. Not that I care. I think she looks good like this, but is it related to the rumored divorce? Or is she working over time? Is it the kids? You always eat more when you have kids. I know Mariah yoyo diets, that's never good either. Anyways what did everyone else think of the interview? I love how Letterman told her to tell everyone to #%..# off when they tell her what to do since she's sold 200 million albums.

Similarities and excitement (43,337) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
For some reason, single performances and incoherent interviews aside, the promotional aspect is era is shaping up to be very reminiscent of that of The Emancipation of Mimi. The cover art employs a similar layout, the title is also explicitly self-referential, and the release date falls within the same quarter of the year. Here's hoping she finally charges into promoting this with the same gusto and drive she had during that glorious era - we're talking relatable TV appearances, coherent radio interviews, spot-on single choices, and creative concept music videos to promote them. It's quite a lot to ask for, but almost 5 years of hard work should not be taken lightly and must not be in vain. Nevertheless, I'm so excited, I don't even care that the album covers are a tad too airbrushed or that the release date has been pushed back yet again, I'm just ready for the music and I know Mariah won't disappoint me in that aspect (like, ever). Commercial and critical success will just be cream and cherries on top.
