Mariah's Wiki profile pic (37,515)
by Robby from Norway

I agree with Zachary of Crotia about the main profile pic of Mariah on Wikipedia, sometime 2008 at Tribeca Film Festival. I hope they will change it with something more recent. Perharps with last Wednesday's Donatella Versace ensemble?

I am not sure to whom to write to, but I really don't like Mariah's picture on her Wikipedia page. How can we change that?

Mariah's Idol look (37,513)
by Chase from USA
| |
|
|
I just wanted to say that, while I only occasionally catch Idol, I've been happy with Mariah's appearance and participation. She's been looking really good, regardless of cleavage controversy. After all, low cut outfits have been part of the package since 1997. She looks youthful, healthy, and clearly happy. I haven't seen her looking this good since E=MC2, when she was also clearly happy. I am glad her family life is going so well. I think being a mother is the most important job in her life, and she and her music will grow as a result. Also, I enjoy her commentary and emotional connection with the contestants. She talks about her experiences in the industry without making it all about her. Overall, perhaps this isn't the best career move, but it isn't hurting her, and it's a great way for her to get public attention and show she's got something good to say.

Having a baby is not stupid, especially if one wants to have one and is phyically and financially able to care for one. Besides, Mariah was not covered at all in the pics posting with Nick in bunny ears. It's amazing how people write fiction from one picture, totally ignoring other pictures taken around the same time. Lol. She looks fit and happy.

Keeping covered? (37,508)
by Brad from USA
| |
|
|
Hi lambs. I hope we are all well and treating others fairly. Anywho, has anyone else noticed that our fair MC seems to be keeping covered as she is on vacay? Even wearing what appear to be full dresses into the sea and swimming pool. Is she trying to hide something or a new someone? Time will tell. Be well.

Performing live on Idol (37,506)
by Lee from UK
| |
|
|
I agree with the person who said Mariah is looking amazing lately. She is still dropping the pounds and looks extremely healthy. I think Keith gave a great live performance on Idol this week. With the type of music he does and the fact he plays the guitar, any bad notes he hits are forgiveable. If Mariah eventually performs on Idol, the public will not forgive a single note out of place. Not after 12 years of people citing her as their major influence and 12 years of comparisons on Idol. The fans will always be Mariah's harshest critics, but for the people who have paid her no attention until this season of Idol, I would imagine they have higher expectations of her than we do after all of the hype.

WBT March 29th release (37,505)
by Terna from Nigeria

Ok, just a shoutout to Mariah, also to acknowledge the anniversary of this masterpiece. This marked the end of bad times for her and also for us, her lambs. Even nature seemed to acknowledge the release, because exactly a year later on this same day there was a worldwide solar eclipse lol. Always made me wonder, did Mariah's voice cause that? Lol. Enjoy your day everyone.

Mariah really moved me last night (37,504)
by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
| |
|
|
The way she was standing in ovation when Miss Aretha Franklin had a message for contestant Kree and being overcome with emotion for Devin. I know MC gets picked on for being a diva, but underneath that part of her celebrity for me lies the sensitivity of someone who relates to people on a deep level, has a genuine heart, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of people. I don't think Mariah refused to acknowledge her birthday, because of being uncomfortable about it. I think she is just simply refusing to make anything on the show about her. She knows this is a special time for the contestants, and doesn't want to take away from that. Hence why she downplayed her version of "Don't play that song for me". I love Mariah's version, nobody else can cover it like she did IMHO. And it's also the reason she carefully clarified her reason for suggesting "I'll be there" for Angie Miller, because she knows certain people would assume that was an ego based recommendation, but it wasn't. I actually feel for NM. There are certain shots she doesn't know the camera is on her, and she looks so unhappy. Hopefully with time she'll be able to let go of some of that anger inside.

Mariah's birthday on Idol (37,502)
by Licia from USA
| |
|
|
I'm so happy that Mariah tried to keep her birthday out of Idol and keep it about the show and the contestants. To me she didn't refuse to acknowledge turning 43, she refused to make it about herself, which she would have been blasted for had she made it about herself. Anyway, that birthday wand was hilarious. Lol.

The wand, the dodge and the tears (37,501)
by Gerome from Canada
| |
|
|
Our Mariah got a little bit crazy last night and I just love how she did it. The wand was a stone winner. Her refusal to acknowledge the B-word even after a lot of people greeted her was priceless. Poor Kree. It was really embarrassing. Nicki was put in her place. Hahaha. But there was a shade on her "queen" comment. She doesn't treat Mariah as a queen". Well, tonight was wonderful. Mariah's tears upon Devin's elimination was really moving. My wife shed tears as well.

Hi, Mariah. Happy anniversary on this happy day. I love you so much. You are the best singer in the world. Your voice inspires me. It is so rich and tender. You're awesome. I wish I could meet you one day. Keep on doing your great work. You deserve to be where you are and to do what you do. What an amazing singer and songwriter. Congratulations for everything. All I want is one more epic/semi-epic era (37,493)
by John from USA
| |
|
|
I understand that the general public is not into Mariah as much as it was in the 90s. The general public also isn't as into Celine or Madonna as much either (Celine hasn't had a radio hit since the early 2000s I think). I totally get that "what goes up, must eventually come down". She's been here for 23 years. It's just that I get so frustrated when I see artists like Rihanna, Britney, Katy Perry, and Kesha getting all these hits with minimal (if any) talent. But they are the new generation, and going to do their thing. Mariah said during the TEOM era "you can't count talent out". And she's right. She came back for an epic era once, and she can do it again if she really wants to. I don't care if Rihanna ties her in #1s some day, records are meant to be broken. Even if Mariah only gets one more #1 single and album, I will be happy. I just want to experience one more era (even if it's short lived like E=MC2). You guys feel me? Happy birthday Mariah. Love you "forever".

Almost Home on Philippine radio - happy birthday MC (37,492)

I was so happy to hear MC's latest single from one of the FM stations here in Manila, I just don't know what specific frequency. It's the first time I heard it, not even from the most popular station here. Hope to hear more of it. Happy birthday to dear Mariah.

Mariah's new album (37,491)
by darnell from United States
| |
|
|
I don't know about anyone else here, but I don't think we'll be getting the new album in May. I think she'll probably perform the first single from the album on the Idol finale, which is in May. Unless she plans on releasing the single within the next week or two, I don't think she'll have enough time to promote the album properly, unless she pushed it back from May. I actually would prefer if she waited untill after AI, so that she's not confined to just Idol promotion. Sometimes I don't think we realize that if Mariah decided to use Idol for promotion, she wouldn't really have time to promote much further than that, because when she leaves Idol, she rushes home to dem babies.

Uhm that sounds like a dumb idea. Lol. But actually Wild N Out did that years ago and it was generally funny. Nick is supposedly bringing it back. These days most of the big stars are afraid to do the show. It's a different time with Twitter and viral social media. Most people don't even "play fight" fair.

That's complete and utter bs. It's one thing to not agree with what she said, but when you are sending this woman death threats that's going too far. Noone deserves that.
