I am predicting that Butterfly will get released this coming Spring with 5 newly recorded collaborations of Vision of Love with The Clark Sisters, The Roof with Brandy, Babydoll - Timbaland remix, Whenever You Call ft. She also said there were no leftovers from "Butterfly" sessuibs that's why there wasn't anything from that era on "The Rarities". Probably she was being forgetful about "Where Are You Christmas" and she actually recorded it. According to Wikipedia, she recorded the song but couldn't release it due to a legal case with Tommy. I think MC is fooling us about there not being a demo. She co-writes this song with two iconic songwriters and musicians and she doesn't lay down some vocals to their piano playing. I think not. We lived for her transformation from a caged pop ballad diva to a R&B hip hop flavored diva. The television performances from the album were so heartfelt and iconic. In less than 10 years we can have the record back. I really hope they don't change the rules again, but sales aren't coming back and streaming is the way forward so the rules may remain. Mariah best non album/soundtrack collabo to me is "Everytime I Close My Eyes", and she just did background. Had it been a duet, it would've been amazing. I love that song and her input in it. Wether people love it or hate it, it doesn't matter, it's never going to go away or lose its appeal around Christmas time. I personally love it and one of my favorite versions, if not my favorite, is the So So Def Remix. It's just too damn cute and infectious. Sometimes I think the general public just likes to hate on Mariah because they think it's "cool" but they don't realize how stupid they seem. I know Mariah still has some more hits left in her, maybe even another #1. We'll just have to wait and see. Congratulations to her for hitting the #1 spot yet again and breaking more records. She captured MC's vocal style from beginning to end. I hope we get the demo next Christmas. It doesn't get very much airplay during the holiday season. WAYC will be 22 years old next year. Hybrid non Christmas/Christmas album (99,238) by T from USA I had a thought, what would've it been like it FILAC appeared on Caution in 2018? A studio album with one romantic Christmas song to be able to help sell the album. With Cautions release date being in November she could've segued into the holiday season while not abandoning her current project. A song like FILAC would've fit nicely on Caution and just because the word Christmas appears in the song doesn't take away from the general theme of love. For your information and to others who doesn't know, this number one is for tracking between 10th December (Friday) until 16th December (Thursday). It means Mariah has another chance to be at number one for another week for tracking between 17th December (Friday) until 23rd December (Thursday) because that is the week of Christmas and everyone would be blasting to Christmas music only.
