Article: 5 Songs by Mariah Carey that should've hit #1 (88,055) by IheartMC from USA Love this. I do agree some of those deserved the coveted #1 spot. However, please do include Can't Let Go, Make It Happen, Shake it Off, Never Too Far, I'll Be Loving You Long Time, The Roof, Breakdown, I Still Believe. Ugh and don't even get me started on some of the genius work on certain album cuts (For The Record, Mine Again, Stay The Night, Make It Look Good, YDKWTD, Inseperable). This woman is so talented and can most certainly be called the queen of music. You can tell music is her best friend, she pays attention to detail on each track and makes sure the listener goes on a wave or "joyride". (Friday 15 February 2019; 15:55)

Last comment (88,046) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City) With all this discipline and hustling and being on the scene JLo is not doing any better commercially truthfully speaking. But the difference is her team covers her missteps better. On the musically her last release in 2014 sold less than MIAM yet it was forgotten about. Even when she released Dinero featuring Khaled and Cardi the song did nothing. So honestly both women have had their failures but Mariah's are more publicized and always have been. Even when MC was on top of the game she was judged more harshly than some of her contemporaries. But I must admit MC has to take better care of certain things than she has in recent years. But Mariah has a more natural born given talent that impresses. I think this debate started after frustration over lack of promotion for Caution, and we are all anxiously awaiting the "The No No" remix. Pitting two women against each other is so 2016. One would think #MeToo would have changed most minds about that. And yes, she is a plagiarist, a bad singer, a pawn for Tommy's evil plans with zero artistic originality, but she can still perform and dance circles around most artists half her age and she truly is hardworking - with a laser focus that Mariah has lacked for a decade now. Both women are inspirations and successful in their own right despite their weaknesses. Both have different things they excel at. Some Mariah fans just tend to be bitter for bitter sake and defend their actions as "just being honest", and that is just petty and sad. Well there's fine line between being honest and being a jerk. It makes the entire Lambily look like insecure babies. I mean granted, other fandoms are probably pretty much doing the same, but why can't we be the ones who take the high road? Let us be objective and call things for what they really are, even on a fan board where it's childishly expected to hate your fave's rivals or enemies "just because". How come they have failed (With You, GTFO) to make it into the main chart like "I Don't"? At least this single was able to make a dent and peaked inside the Hot 100. Just wondering... Inspirational EP or project (88,036) by IheartMC from USA Hey guys, with Tori Kelly winning her first Grammy's for her pop/gospel album, I was thinking why hasn't Mariah made a record in this format? It would be her chance at another Grammy. She has amazing records in the vein of believing and praising the lord. I would love to hear some unreleased gems and infuse some of the ones we already know. What do you guys think? This is what my set of inspirational records I have been listening to from Mariah. She knows that singing is not her strength so shading that is pointless. She is driven, disciplined, personable and has a great work ethic and that is something that has been hit and miss in Mariah's world from 2008 on. When we point fingers at other artists there are usually three fingers pointing back at Mariah. JLo's management? Mariah let her management burn bridges, tarnish her reputation and she has a history of being unstable without good management in place. Mediocre performing songs on the charts? Mariah's last number one was over a decade ago. Flop vocals? MC's live mic feeds anyone? Yes Mariah's more vocally gifted but for years she didn't take care of it, so the point is? If we're being honest, you can't brag about inherent talent because it is God-given and you didn't do anything to get it. You can only take some credit for your work ethic because that's the result of choices you make to develop your talent. The faltering work ethic was a major contributor to Mariah's career decline and the one thing that Mariah needed is what JLo has, whether people like it or not. Our fave has had her fair share of bad vocals, management debacles and questionable work ethic so coming for other artists is like throwing stones from a glass house. Mariah's career/reputation has taken too many hits for someone of her caliber for so much shit-talking. She doesn't have to be your preferred artist but to trivialize everything she does because Mariah doesn't like her comes across as very high school mean girl-ish. They're two different artists who have different strengths and weaknesses. Let's leave it at that. (Wednesday 13 February 2019; 21:12)

"With a seductive yet haunting beat and pristine vocals, it immediately engages the listener. The song has clear tropical influences allowing it to sound current without overdoing it to sound trendy, a line Mariah has always been able to tread well. Her buttery vocals effortlessly slide atop the slick and cutting No I.D. produced beat. Its chorus might just be the best on the album, it just sticks. Caution is fresh, yet reminiscent of late 90s and early 2000s R&B such as Brandy's Never Say Never (1998) and Aaliyah's self-titled final album (2001), which is also probably why it sounds like something Drake would cook up.
