You look your youngest and best when you keep things effortless. 2. Reclaim control of your social media and make the posts a little more (intentionally) infrequent to bring back the air of mystery that you once had. 3. Drop the thirst-bucket Instagram photos and take it back to the way it was from 2011-2013. Classy, yet sexy. 4. Do a female singing duet instead of all of these tired rap features, and don't play it safe by getting a woman who's vocals aren't even in the same ballpark as yours (i.e. MJB). I'd like some healthy competition, i.e. When You Believe with Whitney. 5. Drop the watered-down R&B songs. I love R&B but if she's not gonna bring it with an unforgettable beat, I'd rather her not do it. Reminds me of Dedicated and MILG which I found pleasant, yet forgettable. 6. Encourage Stella to stay in the background like she's been doing for the past few weeks. That is what a manager is supposed to do. 7. Please, I beg of you, work with producers besides JD and Rodney Jerkins. What about Pharell? Timbaland? DJ Quik? Just someone who can breathe some life into a lot of these regurgitated sounds. This is especially true with Stellar and her children managing Mariah. They put a lot of hype in the ether this current year, but a lot of it is poorly placed. But then a lot of fans have expressed interest in this coming docu-thing. I believe she could have focused solely on touring and developed a true documentary to air without all the naked men as sofas and kooky Complex covers to promote a show that seems to have her going beyond the pale, even for her diva persona. She could have given us a true air of mystery by being more elusive and more private, but we get a hodge podge or planted press, stunts, etc, etc. I am glad she did her little thing on Empire, Vegas seems to have worked for her, but that was in the works way before Stellar. Mariah has some good instincts, she just needs to make sure her efforts focus on herself and not the menagerie she keeps around her trying to feed off of her fame. (Monday 24 October 2016; 20:59)

1997 versus 2016 (67,482) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I see a lot of then and now comparisons of Mariah on social media and this recently caught my eyes and it's incredible how she looks basically the same 20 years later. Now that her fillers have come down to normal size and her face has become smaller, she basically looks like how she did back then with maybe a few years difference. But that too can be pinned down on the heavier eye makeup she is wearing in the 2016 picture. Without it, she can pass off as her old self. (Monday 24 October 2016; 19:24)

Are you thinking along the lines of how it creates an air of mystery and suspense around Beyonce and that makes people interested in her? If that's the case, I have to say E. (and Mariah's entire promotional team) is so darn stupid it pisses me off to no end. This, if true, has to be the most pathetic attempt at promo. If not, some stupid random person/bot clearly doesn't understand how people have fun with ghoulish/evil costumes during Halloween. If everyone who dresses up as Satan/evil is Illuminati related, then that covers just about everyone celebrating Halloween. All these aside, I honestly can't tolerate how lame Mariah's PR and marketing teams are. Seriously she is one of the richest celebs out there and her roll outs are just so random and always incomplete. Another list that looks like a popularity or longest piss contest so I say to all of you stop getting worked up over these made up fan lists, as our girl has made her mark on this music game long before some of these lists and so called journalists were born. I guess Mariah's never gonna opt for an "ugly" Halloween costume where she takes risks and is barely recognizable and stuff. 4. Mariah and James are sooo close that she's photographed with Nick more than her current fiance. Sweet. 3. It's very nice to see that Mariah and Nick are still there for their children no matter what. Sidenote: listening to Gwen Stefani's Cool as I'm typing this right now. Very apt soundtrack for my thoughts. 2. Since 2014, Mariah has, for the most part, weirdly looked either awkward, overly pose-y or stiff in photographs. For this one, though, it's understandable. Like I know it's a costume and it's not supposed to be comfortable, but seriously, can she actually move in that thing? She might as well wear a straitjacket for the occasion and even that would probably give her more space for movement. 1. Ah Stella. I'd ask if she didn't get the memo but who are we kidding here? No, coming to a Halloween party as you would normally dress at a 7/11 on any given Thursday night does not count as participation. P.S. that blush-on has a life of its own. Second, AndrewUK - I put on Always Be My Baby during my birthday celebration and I felt like the first time I fell in love. And you know what happened after playing JoyRide. Lol. Well during this time of celebration, I got to think about how Mariah can learn from the mistakes and missteps from her last two albums: MOIA and Me: I Am Mariah. 1. Go back to one/two word album titles. Long crazy titles cause the buying public to not take her albums seriously. 2. Refrain from being so personal with every song on the album. Give your audience an opportunity to see themselves in the song. Something in the vein of Miranda Lambert's Vice. 3. Work with new producers and writers instead of those you feel comfortable with. It's apparent that Mariah needs a new sound and direction. Jermaine Dupri and BMC won't produce any new sounds with Mariah. 4. Narrow the final tracklisting down to 10-12 songs. For example, Butterfly and Daydream. The last two albums where overshadowed by too many songs. 5. The first single should be something in the vein of Dreamlover, Honey, Fantasy, Heartbreaker, and It's Like That. Show us again why Mariah is who she is today. 6. Have videos ready to drop a week after the single drops. No more 3 week gap video premieres. 7. Record with Walter Affansieff and Babyface again. Mariah owes this to her fans. Lambily. 8. Cut back on the whistle notes in every song. This is one thing that I think stops new people from listening to Mariah. 9. Definitely cut back on the rap collaborations. One or two rap collaborations would be just fine on the album. More Mariah and less other people. 10. Give the buying public something different that will show us Mariah Carey of the 1990s again. 11. Cut back on the diva ways and antics. Give true, serious, heartfelt interviews during the album promotions. 12. Give us one male singer duet, original or remake song. (Monday 24 October 2016; 5:13)
