Her voice had such clarity and resonance on Somewhat Loved. Now we get a nasal forced vocal styling. It has to be the change in the weather. BPCH sounds really bad. I can't watch it again just like when she performed BPCH on the very first Grammy nominations primetime special. She sounded really hoarse and dry during that performance. She is doing a masterclass on how to use your voice to express yourself through music. She hasn't officially announced it but masterclass announced a few upcoming classes and she was one of them. I thought she was going to mime to the studio version. I like the new vocals to BPCH. I'll take full voice mid range Mariah vocals over whispery vocals anyday. I like the vocal choices she made and replaced high bells with high falsetto notes or whistles. Two small critiques. This was too short. It was almost like what is the point? She could have added a couple of other songs she didn't sing in the previous special to continue to push other Christmas songs especially the ones she wrote. She's been promoting that her voice is in the best condition it's been in a long time, but anytime she belts high on the new BPCH vocals, it sounds digitally altered and not in a good way. I hope she can really rest and stay away from vices that dissipates the voice. I need full voiced vocals on the next album. (Saturday 4 December 2021; 23:38)

Re: DJ Khaled (99,031) (99,033) by Shezz from Pk I think she got the memo when she recorded Caution. Wasn't he practically nonexistent on that album? It was definitely a step in the right direction. Here's hoping she takes that several steps further with MC16 now that she has the time to fully work on it at her own pace. I think the other producers let her take the wheel when they collaborate either out of awe or respect of working with her. My hope for MC16 is that she tries to keep things simple production wise and not muddle her songs with over production and numerous counter melodies and let the songs be singable and more coherent. There still is brilliance in all her songs. I just feel it gets lost in there. (Saturday 4 December 2021; 05:06)

MC will always work with JD as long as she has full creative control over her career. She needs to at least listen to the advice of someone else at this stage if she hopes to ever be a non-Christmas artist at least once again. Side projects (99,026) by SM from Citizen of the World Out of all of Mariah's side projects, cookies, Black Irish, boosted packs, mac, McDonald's, etc. lol I really wish she would partner with a high end candle company and create a fragrance for everyone. Two questions (99,024) by Matty from Vancouver Canada First, has anyone tried Mariah's cookies and are the delish? (This is a commercial endeavour that I find fun, smart and relevant to the queen of Christmas brand that makes a lot of sense to me, so I'm not at all hating they simply aren't available in Canada and I'd love to know how good they taste.) Second, what are these cards from her wallet where she's wearing a Christmas marvel mask costume on the cover? I don't understand what they are or why one might purchase them? I used to look every year for a Mariah calendar or note book at the book stores when I was younger and could never find one. I'd buy those to this day, I just don't understand these drivers license things and what you do with them. (Thursday 2 December 2021; 19:19)

Re: MC diamond edition (99,016) (99,023) by Will from England Problem is is that in the last two years we have had two Christmas albums, one of which was already a double disc feature and that was celebrating the anniversary of the Christmas album - a worthier reason to release it, plus new songs and everything else we've asked for. I know, I know, she has done it before and yes I am happy for Adele and her fans but I guess I just miss seeing M. Especially her magical Christmas shows at the Beacon. I hope one day she returns there again. I don't know who represents Adele, but she certainly seems to be the new "It girl" who can do no wrong in the industry and public's eye. Chaka Khan gave the analogy of artists being like planets, she says they don't always have to collaborate, each is his own entity and fares better solo. This applies to Mariah too. She's said it in words, with "The meaning of Mariah Carey". Now it's time to speak through the music, which is the best way she knows how to after all. Sing from the heart like you used to, almost as if you have a point to prove, which in a way you do - the younger generation don't know much about her at all, they don't even know the triumph that was "The Emancipation Of Mimi" era, to them she's just a Christmas act now (have you seen those "Mariah Carey is defrosting" memes? lol, the disrespect), which we all know is far from the way it really is. It's time for her to sit with herself and rewrite the narrative, tell the story the best way only you can tell it. It could include Fall In Love At Christmas, Where Are You Christmas and a few new songs. I think she's at the point now that she could group all her original songs onto one disc, and of course an additional disc with all her Christmas covers (for the traditionalists).
