In 22 years, Butterfly has sold 3,807,000 copies in the USA (according to Wikipedia). That's only 14,420 copies per month. Caution has sold 18,600 copies per month. So Caution is doing way better than Butterfly. B, I love your attempts in trying to look for reasons why Caution is not the flop everybody else knows it is. (Wednesday 10 April 2019; 23:32)

It may not be on the Billboard 200 but it's remained on the R&B Album Sales chart since its release and has spent five nonconsecutive weeks at #1 on the chart. Lil Kim/Cardi (89,091) by Mirage_Nunez from America I've been over the idea of Cardi being on the remix. Cardi Cosby is doing a stripper movie with JLo now, so who knows why she really didn't committed to the remix. Maybe she's team JLo *shrugs* who cares kind of over her now anyway. I never really cared whether Kim was on it or not, just thought it would be fair since it's a sample of her song. Anyway I actually love the version with Shawni (she's adorable across the board). Singles choices (89,090) by Nikki from usa Yes, Mariah did want Migrate as the second single. She said it twice and was featured on a social media site in '08 talking with a fan where she stated, "It wasn't a 'Mariah Carey' record." The label wanted Mariah the Ballad Queen. Singles are and will forever be chosen by the label. They're not going to pay to create an album and promote it with the singers doing as they please. The general rule of thumb is the first single has to be a hit and the label will give the singer more say in it's follow up. That's only if the first single does well. The final say for single choices will always be the label. It doesn't matter who you are as long as the label is funding you. Mariah is no longer with a label willing to promote her. It doesn't matter if she makes the greatest music in the world if nobody knows about it. The Caution era has been nothing but MC promoting herself. When was the last commercial, ad, billboard, magazine cover, or radio shout out you've seen for Caution? How about internet ads? There is no promo, Mariah is the promo. "With You" was only released to A/C and adult R&B stations while "A No No" seems to be going to hip-hop and general R&B stations. She's not going to chart like that. (Wednesday 10 April 2019; 19:19)

(89,086) (89,087) by Edward from USA Mariah definitely wanted Migrate released, that's not in question, but once Touch My Body was released, she and the label wanted to continue with the usual formula and it just didn't work, she never wanted Migrate as the second single, that's my point. I remember Migrate actually charted on the Hot 100 purely on sales, along with some other songs from the album just like Betcha Gon Know from Memoirs also charted. What kind of irks me here is the fact that some people keep saying Mariah wanted Migrate released right after TMB was released, when in reality she had her usual formula in mind: an up-tempo then a ballad. They thought Bye Bye would be a universal hit, but it just didn't connect with people like that. (Wednesday 10 April 2019; 13:46)

Mariah performed Migrate on SNL and on her BET special "The Relativity of Mariah". There was a huge buzz about Migrate that surpassed TMB. Also keep in mind that T Pain was huge at that time. When E=MC2 was released the digital sales of Migrate surpassed TMB and the song even charted on the Billboard charts at number 92. Mariah said on a Radio 1 interview that she wanted Migrate released as a single. Speaking of T Pain he even said during an interview that he was shocked the record company went with Bye Bye and he hoped they gave Migrate a shot. Mariah said what she said on the Perez Hilton interview because she took what he said personally about Migrate making it sound like her career was going to bomb again if Migrate was the second single. Now regarding LA Reid. He actually wanted Say Something as the first single to be released from TEOM but Benny Medina convinced him to go with It's Like That. Bottom line Migrate should have been the second single released period. There was a huge buzz about that song. The timing was right. What a missed opportunity. (Wednesday 10 April 2019; 13:06)

I doubt they will get her records. All these clowns acted like they had emails and evidence on their own and claimed Mimi wasn't taking meds and various other accusations. I don't think they're on good footing to make Mariah prove it for them, with her own private medical records. These people are bullies and blackmailers. Mariah would likely avoid all off this in her memoirs, especially if there are pending lawsuits. There's still Stella suing her own cousin the lawyer that Mimi hired. More beasts to contend with. (New York City) This all started with MC saying that she would love to work with them there was never an official confirmation in place and JD tried to hype fans because his ego was obviously bruised because none of this production was featured on Caution he only received associate producer credit on ANN as Shea Taylor is actual producer JD was hoping to produce a remix so that he can get acknowledgement and credit for something. (89,064) (89,081) by Edward from USA Back in 2008, Perez Hilton interviewed Mariah briefly, and he asked her if Migrate would the second single, to what she replied: "No darling, we've been doing this for years, I know what I'm doing." She answered that way because Perez kind of made it sound that Migrate wouldn't be a good choice as a second single. Saying Mariah wanted Migrate before Bye Bye to make Mariah looks good is insane to me. As you said, Mariah followed the same formula, and it just didn't work. Then she basically abandoned the project which I understand because of what was going on in her personal life. This notion that every time a single flops is because it was the label's pick is ridiculous. Mariah stopped being a puppet a long time ago. She's very much involved and in control of what she puts out, in too much control actually. E=MC2 is a great album full of potential hits, but the timing just wasn't right. L.A. Read was also the one who sent Mariah back in the studio to record We Belong Together and Shake If Off because he thought there was something missing. It seemed to me like they were simply trying to milk AIWFCIY's popularity to sell as many Caution copies as they can to "reintroduce" her as a likeable legend. I'm beginning to think that the Cardi/Kim remix was nothing but a rumor to keep people interested in the album post Christmas for the tour. On that note, it might be interesting if she combines the upcoming memoirs with a corresponding album release. Maybe it's the next project that they want to pour the money into, though it kinda seems unlikely at this point. (Tuesday 9 April 2019; 19:15)

I thought it would sell way over 100k. I think the album and singles underperformed. The Dream is back into rotation (89,074) by Bobby A from United States After five months, only GTFO and 8th Grade remain on my workout playlist. So with that being said, I have put every song The Dream wrote with MC back into rotation. I am really loving More Than Friends again. (New York City) During E=MC2 era Mariah also fought for "Touch my body" to be the lead single, she wanted to follow-up TMB with Migrate but the label and LA Reid decided that Bye Bye should be the official second single. Honestly E=MC2 was an album geared towards radio friendly songs and that was direction I believe MC was going in for this particular era to capitalize on radio embracing her music again during TEOM era.
