Re: Billboard chart (72,629) (72,642)

Apparently the new house Mariah is renting is $100K a month. Oh man. She should just go back to NYC where she has just 1 guest bedroom so that homeless Stella and her family can't use her home as a lodging home.

This would have charted higher if they'd even bother to so promo, jeez. I just see them inviting radio people and DJs and all but why don't they do these before the release instead of 1 week after?

Stella was the one who went on several interviews to make the claims of sabotage but of course Stella can't do these interviews if Mariah didn't allow her. Mariah made a vague statement through her insta only and said she'll talk about it later but it has been over a month, almost 2 and I think she should just let it go. Stella I'm sure is the one who cried sabotage and Mariah being a victim of it before found it easier to digest than acknowledging that she has a circus for a team. I also wouldn't put it past Stella to stage stuff possibly even without Mariah knowing to get "viral moments" which she loves. Because the NYE drama lead to Stella doing full length interviews for the first time. Not one, but multiple.

Since Kimmel will be In a more controlled environment, hopefully the performance will go on with minimal problems. Hoping she will actually sing. I'd love to see an I Don't parody.

Mariah no longer has the passion for music (72,638)
by Giovanni from USA
| |
|
|
"Beautiful" has been her only good, strong single since "Don't forget about us". Everything after from "You're mine" to "Infiniy" to "I don't" is just one disappointment after another. Where is the Mariah Carey who wrote "Vision of love", "Make it happen", "Dreamlover", "Anytime you a friend"? Her music has lacked meaning and has no message. How many break up songs is she going to write? At this point with her music I have lost all hope for a comeback. She is just not putting out the best music. I will always love the work she created when she was younger up until "The Emancipation Of Mimi".

Definitely deserved album of the year. It was cohesive, scored a hit single and sold over 8 million copies. I can't say the same for "Lemonade". Adele getting mushy over Beyonce was so over the top.

I would highly recommend viewing it in its visual, before listening to the album. It's a masterpiece, her magnum opus. So many layers. Really reminded me of Butterfly in terms of seeing an artist at their commercial peak go completely against the grain and release something so beautiful and personal.

Yeah, if you can't get along with Ellen, then it's you with the problem, lol. Kimmel takes everything in stride so MC's appearance should go ok. I mean, they got in the bath together last time for crying out loud.

Mimi, I agree. Unfortunately Stellar likes to make accusations. I wonder why she didn't agree to the joint statement and why DCP claimed their was no issues on their end? Did Mariah publicly say that or was it just Stellar? Maybe Stella had the set messed with to get her 15 minutes which she got.

Now that we know "I Don't" will be debuting at #89, here's the chart company it keeps. What is your order of favourites, 1 through 8, from this list? Oh Santa (#100); Up Out My Face (#100); Migrate (#92); I Don't (#89); You're Mine Eternal (#88); Infinity (#82); Through The Rain (#81); Say Somethin' (#79).

Re: Grammy's (72,585) (72,631)
by Manny from U.S.

The irony of it is that Anthony choreographed the Beyonce's Grammy performance. Reminds me of when he told Mariah, people want to see ass and the boobs, to not say the other word. Last year I saw Beyonce in concert and she put on an amazing show. She is obviously more of a dancer than Mariah. The choreography and the montages she used were well planned out. It was like the movie The Matrix. Like Mimi L said, while Beyoncé walking and sitting there, the dancers, imagery, props brough it to another level.

I agree Mimi L. Mistakes happen and no they shouldn't be happening to a huge company like DCP, but I doubt they are purposely going out of their way to have technical difficulties and ruin artists. I highly doubt they tried to sabotage Mariah. That's bad for business.

Billboard chart (72,629)
by RibbonB from USA

Good for Mariah for charting. I wonder if she is happy with that number. She seems to be promoting the song, hosting parties for DJ's at her new rental property hoping to get airplay I am sure. If that is the same house she made the video at, I am sure she will be able to use that rental as a tax write off as her new work compound.

I actually don't think Lemonade or 25 should have won. Neither album did anything for me, but I do respect them both as artists and I appreciate Adele for showing Beyonce love. Not a huge fan of either, but I do like a few of their songs.

Mimi L. Here is the Kimmel "Blurred Lines" parody. This is actually pretty funny. There is also one on YouTube for Sia's "Chandelier", which is not so funny, but it's ok. Now I really hope he parodies "I Don't". It could really be epic. Lol. I can imagine him playing the YG part.

I didn't see the Grammys as a whole just the performances I wanted, I didn't see the Gaga performance but if there was a mistake and it was caused by DCP, it still kinda doesn't go with what Mariah's team said. Her team said that DCP intentionally screwed up the playback in order to publicly humiliate Mariah for ratings. They could have stuck to the "there were technical problems", when the word "sabotage" and "for the ratings" comes up it becomes violent. I don't know if I am making sense, but I hope you got what I meant.

#89 (72,624)
by B from USA

She was still able to chart despite being irrelevant. Of course #89 ain't #1 but it's a feat when the head of your label says even being on radio is a feat. Especially when you've managed it with two singles that your fanbase is divided on.

I saw the performance, but for me Beyoncé is so overrated. Yes she's a beautiful woman, she can dance and entertain. Her voice is nice and her songs are always "trendy". Some songs from the Lemonade album are so bad. But hey everybody loves Beyoncé. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against her but she's definitely not the queen. She's a princess of modern R'n'B. Adele deserves the Grammy.

It was stated that DCP does the Grammy's, the Billboard Awards, and the NYE with Ryan Seacrest. If it's not true it doesn't matter, if it can happen on music's biggest night, it can happen to anyone at anytime.

Adele was amazing. And it was a lot more human that she started over. Rule Britannia. Agree with those who say awards shows won't go near Mariah now. Don't you think the barriers being up on the bowling lane, with Mariah in stilettos looking like a desperate cougar, being praised by the kiss-ass sycophantic idiot is symbolic of her life? Somewhere people were celebrating real music. Mariah is the most irrelevant she's ever been.
