The intro at the very start of the show with the Hollywood walk of Fame bit with Mariah delivering the line "You guys can stand up. I don't really make people bow down to me... anymore" was brilliant. Tanaka sitting beside her, completely disinterested on his phone; it set the stage for her taking the piss out of herself during the interview. Then Corden rolling his chair around trying to help her with her good side, and the walk-through-McDonald's shuffle and shoe toss. It was so funny, and the crowd thought it was hilarious. This was the shtick done right. I won't comment on her body (because I don't comment on bodies, it's negative energy). Her gown and shoes were stunning. (Thursday 9 December 2021; 19:18)

Re: MC on James Corden (99,085) (99,088) by Mara from United States I watched the James Corden 1000th show and as a GM fan, I wished she had acknowledged she decided to do it because if it was good enough for George, it was good enough for her. Anyhow, I thought she was playful and while remaining true to her "slapstick diva campiness" I appreciated the fact like she was in on it and was only playing into it in a straight up in your face way. She came off as funny and almost down to earth in an odd sort of way. I read some of the comments on the YouTube page for James Corden and most were positive. I hate that she is still insecure though. She is too good for that and ce, enter herself too deep to be bothered with that sh** any longer. That stuff should be buried with her releasing her inner "little Mariah". I noticed she seemed swollen almost uncomfortable possibly due to a medication side effect or female hormones. It's not easy being at that magical age and female. I can't imagine being in the public eye dealing with fluctuations. Steroids or hormones can do that. What I did notice though and only because I have some lung issues, is that she sounded a little out of breath or like something is up. Again, I'm no doctor and maybe if I was in a corset, I prob would sound the same way. But I just hope she is ok and as we all know the Mariah that is in interviews and such... we really don't know Mariah the person behind all of that. It's easy to forget that is a person behind the brand and hair and dresses. She is a national treasure to me and I only hope she takes care of "Mariah" - the grown beautiful, strong, talented, resilient, and most of all mother to Roc and Roe woman. MC on James Corden (99,085) by Randy from USA If anyone had any hope of MC growing up, this was a reality check. The dress was amazing, make-up flawless. Hair a little messy but I thought she looked terrific. But of course she had to talk about her good side, and not acknowledging time and she sounded under the influence, slightly slurring. And of course there was no way she was gonna indulge us in the occupation that pays her bills. And listen I am not fat shaming, it's taken everything for me to lose the 30lbs I've had to lose. But for MC to rumoredly have had that sleeve a few years back, she's getting puffy again. She was stuffed in that dress like a glitter breakfast sausage link. I did like the campiness of her throwing the shoe after he imitated that she can't walk in them or the dresses she wears. But then that begs the question, why dress this way if you're uncomfortable? If it was purely Mariah's fanbase that saw it reach #1 across the globe, Save the Day would have had the same success. But it didn't, because it was a horrific song. I expected the spectacular we got last year; with even more guest stars, I thought Ariana would come by again, Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Rowland and Nas or Busta. I'm happy to see Tanaka with his cute new hair thoufg. But I thought this would be a true sequel to last years with how massive it was with the public worldwide. (Thursday 9 December 2021; 04:22)

Why can't it be 30 minutes Christmas Special 2021 (99,080) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia I wonder why Mariah only end up performing two songs. With the grand stage set, costumes, dancers, dress, Mariah can add one or two more songs and it can be 30 minutes Christmas Special 2021. She can add songs that she never done before like Miss You Most At Christmas Time (fan favorite) and Jesus Oh What A Wonderful Child or even Where Are You Christmas. Hopefully he's just been unavailable and it's not a falling out. On another note, I'm enjoying the Christmas albums - AIWFCIY and Oh Santa (with AG & JH) always seem to find their way on my Spotify. No holiday song has ever done that, let alone a holiday song 25 years after its release. It is Mariah's 19th #1 song. It's a number one. Nothing can change that. Enjoy the holiday season. (99,064) (99,075) by Matty from Vancouver Canada Mariah has literally been singing this tune and rolling her eyes at the Grammy's for a decade and a half (a female who was at the top of her game), knowing they are so inconsistent and it's all opinion and music politics based. Now that The Weekend and Drake are getting vocal about the same issue (males currently at the top of their game), the public seem to be all ears and listening and questioning. There's no rhyme or reason for nominations or wins; if it was only what's popular, The Weekend would be nominated in every category that pertained to him in 2020 (rather then a fat snub). If it was all a deep scientific research based deep dive into quality music (whatever that would look like) Milli Vanilli never would have won even if they actually song on their album. Whether it was Emotions (song), the entire Daydream era fiasco, the entire Butterfly album, or even Caution album, the random snubs and dismissal is clear as day that it's an inside hateration job. Is Beyoncé really worth half a million Grammy's? Is U2, seriously? I wish Mariah's intro at talk shows and award shows would stop saying "5 time Grammy winner..." as the lead. Drop that and say "19 World Music Awards; 15 Billboard music Awards, the legend and Songbird Supreme Mariah Carey". (Wednesday 8 December 2021; 19:15)

The lambs left don't have any control over its position on the charts anymore, if they had, an awesome album like "The Rarities" would've sold millions. Two years in a row going to #1 is a great accomplishment, the song has legs of its own, it doesn't depend on Mariah of the lambs where it will go. (Wednesday 8 December 2021; 16:30)

I do agree with you. The Grammy's have been for years now a popularity contest. Most of the members are not what one would consider music experts, they're mere mortals like the rest of us hence their vote towards what's popular. I'm not saying that Alanis Morissette and Seal didn't deserve to win since those were great records, but it seemed to be there were forces working against Mariah to win anything that night.
