A No No alert (88,255)
by Shezz from Pk
| |
|
|
If it's supposed to "blow our minds" it better be a superstar remix announcement. Just a single announcement of a song all of us have heard for 4 months now is not such a big deal even if it comes with a video.
Has camp Mimi finally managed to pull off one of the biggest undercover operations ever and are Cardi and Missy part of the highly secretive ambush planned? A few days ago I would have been highly skeptical but after the Caution tour anything is possible clearly.

Mariah reading this board (88,254)
by Mariahsbaby from usa

I can confirm that according to Shawn "Mariah's nephew" that she doesn't read this board, she knew that grinch and co were just blatantly disrespectful towards her. But nevertheless the setlist was amazing and YDKWTD was my fave moment even though AYNAF made me a lamb. Bianca plus Glitter moment was everything.

Caution in Houston (88,253)
by Licia from USA
| |

Besides me wanting to drop kick these two broads for continuously getting in the way of my pics, Mariah coming on late (as usual), and her not singing MSG I enjoyed the show. Overall she sounded great, looked great, and seemed like she was enjoying herself . The highlights for me was the Glitter mix, dem kids coming out, her singing the hell out of 8th Grade, and that bootleg Biance fight. I'm still laughing at that fight. Lol.
Sidenote: I just realized she didn't sing Looking In either. So maybe they cut those two songs because of the delay.

Yeah they don't have tour books. They had 3 different types of t-shirts, a tank top, 2 different tote bags, the Caution CD and vinyl, and two different ball caps. I didn't even see any keyrings. I got me a shirt though.

Setlist (88,251)

I am actually quite pleased with the songs she had performed on her Dallas concert. I was happy to watch her perform some of her more obscure songs instead of her usual top 10 ones. Keep it, Mariah. Congrats. And thank you.

We can agree to disagree. She literally worked with every producer we suggested she worked with on Caution. I lobbied hard for her to work with Skillerex, The Stereotypes (who produced Bruno's That's What I Like), and Drake and The Weeknd's producers (Nineteen85 and Lido).

Amen yes it is, the fact she did the Glitter medley alone come on. Also "AYNAF" who would've predicted that one, and let's not forget remix version and Bianca all in one show. I love how he actually did 7 songs from Caution. In prior tours it's always about the hits, the number 1s which makes it the same show. Here she switched it up. I really love the ABMB version and Mariah's theme club mix. Yes lord you answered out prayers. If only that fight scene with Bianca was a bit more real. For laughs for laughs.

Dan Enriquez, I think that's his name, said it on the podcast that during her album signing that her manager whispered to Mariah that they had a whole podcast devoted to her and they were celebrating an anniversary so I do believe she does listen to it or her team does.

Yes a jazz album for sure. She is so fluid when she does any jazz songs, all her impromptu moments are very jazzy, and we can't forget "Subtle invitation". I've been praying for a new era where she does a jazz album or an album of standards or like you said maybe even a gospel album. For now the closest to that dream would be Merry Christmas II You and original MC.

I more inclined to think that she or someone from her team is listening to The Mariah Report podcast. The hosts have been talking about a similar setlist for months.

She'll probably perform The Distance and Giving Me Life at a later dates when Ty Dolla Sign and Slick Rick are available. If not, I'm not going to complain since she's singing Caution and 8th Grade.

And everyone thought the Caution era was over, lol. I'm fine with her catering to Adult Contemporary and R&B radio and the lambs at this stage in her career. We suggested she work with most of the producers she worked with on Caution and make the changes to the setlist she made so I'm certain she's either a member of this board or at the very least monitors it.

I guess it's safe to say that this has been the best setlist she has had in forever. There are still some songs we could swap out for better ones, but overall this is a pretty great list. Glitter is finally getting some love, Caution is mostly on display, with some fan favorites here and there thrown in for good measure - this is shaping up to be a nice album tour with some real direction, not just some random greatest hits concert that could have been held at any point within the last 15 years. Nice one, Mariah. Now it's time to keep the voice, the body and the ensembles in check as well.

Ima say something that will shock most of you. After looking at this set list, I think MC might secretly look at this board. She seems to have listened to you all and recognize that you all and not the general public are the only ones supporting her no matter what. This is a very different concert for her.

Article: Mariah Carey kicks off the Caution world tour (88,233)
by Lainsky from Philippines

Wow. This has to be an amazing show. A fan uploaded on YouTube some highlights and hearing Glitter tracks (one of her best works), more Caution cuts (especially the title track), YDWTD, MSG, and Looking In is quite refreshing. I just wish she retires (at least for this tour) singing Hero, VOL, Emotions, and Dreamlover to give other songs like Giving Me Life, Sweetheart, Butterfly, and Breakdown. Overall, nice setlist.

Caution track as Country Western (88,232)
by Brad from USA
| |
|
|
Hi fellow lambs. So exciting to see this tour get started and the amazing set list and MC's strengthening vocals. I hope everyone is being good to themselves and others. So, confession. I enjoy singing MC's songs (to myself of course) and giving the words different emphasis and approach. I was doing this with the track "Caution" on my drive to work today and realized that a "slow-paced, country western take" on the song would work really, really well. Can anyone else imagine this? It does require different emphasis on some words or parts of words. Would be so cool to have someone cover it this way. Does anyone else ever do this with her songs or am I a lone lamb in that regard? Anyhow, have a wonderful time at the shows and I cant wait until April 5th. God bless.
