TD second week chart stats (109,421)

Looks like #95 might be the peak for "Type Dangerous" unless we get some more promotion and momentum from Mariah's camp. I don't really follow current music, so I have no point of reference. Does anyone know how well we are doing with streams, downloads, radio airplay, etc? I heard the song one time on the local R&B radio station when it first dropped, but that's about it.

Barbra is an album artist, not a single one. She last charted on the Hot 100 with "I Finally Found Someone (with Bryan Adams)" at No.8 in 1996 and after that her singles never cracked the Hot 100 again.

Yes, Type Dangerous is slowing down in the States too. Gamma is going to need to release a ballad as the second single to properly launch MC16 after gauging what One Heart One Voice will do on the radio and charts. By the way, I wonder why none of the already released singles from Barbra's new album have not charted or received any radio airplay. There has not really been any promotion for her album at all.

Gamma is going to need to release a ballad as the second single to properly launch MC16 after gauging what One Heart One Voice will do on the radio and charts. By the way, I wonder why none of the already released singles from Barbra's new album have not charted or received any radio airplay. There has not really been any promotion for her album at all.

If Mariah keep doing quick little mini-hits like Type Dangerous for the rest of her career, I would be happy.
The gp only know her as a Christmas artist, and in a couple of months, here comes that season again. I don't know how she can be both a both Christmas and pop act, especially being a legacy artist.
I just hope she should keep at it until one of those songs hit big. Big Energy was a close one, so it's not impossible. She is at least still doing something, and releasing, and being creative.
Next week, she's on a song with Streisand and Ariana, and hopefully the starpower on that alone would get a lot of attention.

She started doing promotion across the pond pretty quick (of course, she had the concert there to boot) but many American audiences didn't see it. Not sure why she let loose over there but performed like a mannequin on BET.
At least the song charted and wasn't a Christmas song. Shy of MC stepping out of her box to actually entertain the way Taylor, Beyonce, or others who incorporate a show into their brand, it's slim she will hit like in the past. Radio just doesn't play MC outside of Christmas and the lambs seem to barely support her when she actually does release something. I really do want her to get a hit and topple The Beatles records, but being an older artist, it's way harder to do now. Especially when you don't change your brand.

I can't view it for some reason but if it's that TikTok account which "leaked" two "demos" one being velvet smoke or something and the other a song similar to "bitch I'm Mariah" I hated both. Mariah would never do those lyrics and it was too shouty. I think they're keeping tight leash on the material and won't allow leaks.
