Like Bill, I love rankings that's why I was obsessed with Billboard Charts, radio countdowns, and Mariah's single. Well, let me be happy just seeing it here. As mentioned in my previous post, Butterfly will always be on top. Hey! It's her magnum opus and kind of like her signature/identity album. 1. Butterfly 2. Daydream 3. Music Box 4. The Emancipation of Mimi 5. Glitter 6. Mariah Carey 7. Caution 8. E=MC2 9. Rainbow 10. Emotions 11. Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel 12. Charmbracelet 13. Me I Am Mariah The Elusive Chanteuse Similar to others, I am leaving out the two holiday collections and the compilation albums. A lot of lambs like MIAMTEC, especially the younger and later fans of her. As a 90's baby, I honestly cannot relate much to this album. It's the reason why it is at bottom. Caution and MOAIA are her most cohesive works. The former suffer from her fading popularity and the latter suffer from wrong singles released like E=MC2. (Tuesday 23 February 2021; 04:06)

Emotions 10. Rainbow 11. Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel 12. Music Box 13. Charmbracelet Butterfly will always be my number one - if nothing else, for the songwriting and narration alone. Mariah really developed her craft here. Daydream follows for vocals and as a subtle lead into a more urban, adult sound. I love Caution era. A total mood album. Thematically, so cohesive. Give me The Distance, and you can keep all of Memoirs. And I love the E era party vibes. Love upbeat Mariah. I prefer her having fun versus waning over a lover on top of a slow arrangement. Rainbow would be higher if asked years ago, but in my opinion, songs like X Girlfriend and How Much really haven't aged well. Also feels choppy. She clearly recorded it quickly and wanted out from the label. Never really liked Charmbracelet - sorry. Love performances of Through the Rain but her diction is poor on the album and I feel like she kept reaching but never achieved a smash hook. Now just realizing I'm partial to the newer part of her catalogue, though Music Box was one of my first cassettes ever. (Tuesday 23 February 2021; 01:20)

That famous impersonator, Jessica something, plays MC. She does resemble Mariah, especially from certain angles but all in all it is a silly piece of tabloid journalism. On Music Box I like AYNAF, Dreamlover and Without You, and obviously our favourite Everything Fades Away. But the rest of the album all blends into one for me. Same with Daydream. Fantasy and Looking In are the only songs I'm crazy about. The "Open Arms / When I Saw You / I Am Free / Forever" ballad train all sounds the same. I say this like I dislike them, I don't. Even the MC songs that I don't love, I'm still very fond of. Except "I Don't". James Packer and Almira Gulch can keep that one. Now, are we cool? (Monday 22 February 2021; 12:31)

Honey live at Top of The Pops 1997 (97,438) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia I wonder why until now Mariah's team has not uploaded the official live performance of Honey at the Top Of The Pops in 1997. Almost all of Mariah's performances at that show in the 90's have been uploaded at Mariah's YouTube channel. To me, it was such a great performance and the only performance where Mase made an appearance. Mariah's voice and tone was almost identical to the album version. (Monday 22 February 2021; 10:26)

Yes, I am not Mariah the elusive chanteuse, but even I was able to soften most of these "bumps" just by using the stems from the internet and Audacity. So I would expect a studio perfectionist like Mimi (or her team) to do better and not have it sound that obvious. (Monday 22 February 2021; 07:36)

Squeeze me? Baking power? 1.5k for a photo book. Are you kidding? It's like US$500 for a brief-no-redo photograph with the artist. How much money do they need? This is incredibly selfish. It goes to show what I have said all along. The Mariah's and the Rihanna's of the world do not care about you and though you may have spent a thousand hours in your room dreaming of the day, to them you are a dollar sign. $750,000 for crappy bound photos?
