This is no surprise at all, even for the haters. This song is unstoppable during the holidays.

AIWFCIY is back at #1. Wow. People needed some love and joy in the lives last week. I know I do.

I would love that. A song with a beautiful melody is always a win. "Christmas time is in the air again" is one of my favourites.

Agreed. Christmas Time Air Again is a beautiful song. I remember listening to MCIIY the first time all the way through. One Child caused me to stop and replay once more before continuing on.

Marc Shaiman (107,763) by Edward from USA
Unlike Walter Afanasieff, Marc Shaiman brings a unique touch as an exceptional lyricist. "Christmas Time Is in the Air Again" and "One Child" stand out as the best written and produced tracks among the four original songs on the album. These songs come closest to recapturing the musical quality of the Merry Christmas album from 1994.

Marc Shaiman's two Christmas songs with MC reminds me how MC can just hum the melody at the piano and any piano player can reproduce exactly what she hummed. I just know that is how Christmas Time Is In The Air Again was created. We need an album just solely produced by Marc Shaiman.

Yes she's beautiful on it and she's just so well composed and elegant. I love to watch this every year.

Merry Christmas 30 (107,759) by Jamie from UK
The audio quality of the St John The Devine convert is far superior on this release than the deluxe edition. Plus the added bonus of Hero. I wasn't going to purchase but after hearing how much better it was I couldn't resist.

I anticipate that All I Want for Christmas Is You will secure two more weeks at number one this holiday season, while Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree and Last Christmas could each claim one week at the top. This would position AIWFCIY just four weeks away from breaking the record for the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Thank you for the heads up. It's been ages since they have aired anything of MC here in Norway. I should definitely record it.

Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas To All (107,754) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I know at least one other Norwegian fan on this message board, hope there are more, but just wanted to say that "Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas To All" will be broadcasted on the national broadcaster her in Norway, Nrk, tomorrow, Friday, at 08.20pm local time. I think this is actually the first concert they broadcast since her Butterfly tour. They are announcing her as the first lady of Christmas, so that is nice, enjoy my fellow Norwegian lambs.

They are all fighting in vain, because for the last 5 years, Mariah has the biggest hit of each of those year. Facts.

I am predicting that Kendrick Lamar will lose steam this week so MC can be number #1 next week. She will face some tough competition for the #1 spot from Brenda and George as we get closer to Christmas.

Mariah is projected to be #1 next week by Talk of the Charts. Will Brenda Lee gain steam and take over in the coming weeks? I love how Hot 100 becomes exciting now every December.

Bar Song tied Old Town Road last week for 19 weeks at number 1, then got knocked off my Lamar. If Mariah gets 2-3 weeks at #1 this year, she might be in the running to take that title next year.

Lil Nas X has tied his own record with Tipsy, as 19 weeks remains the longest a song has ever stayed at the top. Given that Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You lost a bit of momentum last year, I didn’t expect it to perform as strongly this year. However, it seems AIWFCIY might still put up a tough fight for the top spot this season. It could either dethrone Kendrick Lamar next week or face a dramatic diva showdown with Brenda the following week. It's going to be interesting to see how things will play out.

Could it be possible (107,746) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I want the latter to happen just to see this happen haha. "Brenda might knock Mariah right out of her stilettos and snatch her wig off or Mariah might have Brenda relocated to a nursing home for a couple of weeks." Jokes I think AIW has a good shot this year. Is she now competing with Old Town Road or Tipsy? Because I think Tipsy has the most weeks at number 1 right now ya? I could be wrong. I'm tired of these one hit wonders dethroning our queen, I would have been fine if it was one of bigger artists.

And somewhere on the Billboard charts (107,745) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Last Christmas is sitting at #2 on the iTunes chart today because it is the song's 40th anniversary. It will definitely be in top 10 next week on the Hot 100. It would have been so cool if MC had planned to release her cover of Last Christmas this holiday season. She really doesn't release stand alone singles like Usher, Keyshia Cole, Drake, and other artists.
