New music announcement coming up (105,244) by Bobby A from United States
Radio would eat it up. Cardi B always makes it to Top 10 and higher on the Hot 100. Latto has been grabbed by I Don't Know Her and Usher for their new albums. So, why not Cardi B this time? Cardi B definitely gives you memorable lines when she delivers her bars. Could this be the sample of one her hits being used that was mentioned few weeks? Could it be a fun breakup song poking fun at men who don't live up to their expectations? Could this be the London On Da Beat production that I have been waiting on? MC is definitely working on her return to the charts very quietly.

New music announcement coming up (105,243) by Shezz from Pk
According to insiders, Mariah is going to announce new music very soon. She has an upbeat pop/r&b song with Cardi B that is a strong contender for the first single.

Mariah coming to Grammy's main event? (105,242) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Did y'all see the red carpet interview of Halle Bailey and they ask her about Mariah. It was at the award function Mariah was awarded at, and Halle says she's excited to see Mariah that night and also Sunday, which is Grammy night. I wonder if we're getting a performance. Or maybe she's just going because they recently honored her.

Moody Mariah Nights (105,241) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I love it and she looks so stunning in video, 1997-2000 Mariah beauty was on a whole other level. Her ad libs at the end gives me life. I love the way she sings the verses it's very similar to WBT, they both have the rap-sing kind of style which leads to the dramatic ad libs on the climax. I don't know if I'm making sense haha.

Independent route? (105,239) by 123 from USA
Hi RA. I heard his new single but it was meh. Without a strong single his album is going to flop. Hoping Mariah has some uptempo bangers. I need two uptempos back to back. After the success of Hiss, Meg The Stallion has a distribution deal with universal where she gets to keep 100 of her masters and publishing and is still independent. I would love something like this for MC.

Moody Mariah Nights (105,238) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I hope so. I was watching some of her "behind the scenes" from TEOM and interviews and she looked so confident and content that people are finally done writing her off. The Mimi roll out was perfect. She was all over looking like the superstar she is. Then she had the most iconic images for her album, some of her best videos till date, the whole "The Voice is Back" campaign. I hope she can replicate it to some extent.

Great post Mimi. I think we are in store for something special later this year. I believe she is watching and listening to what others are releasing the first half of the year to perfect what will probably be her most anticipated album since TEOM. I don't want her rush now to just put out what she has recorded. Take your time, Mimi.

Mariah looked so beautiful. I had to look twice too, almost like 99 again. The dress was indeed adventurous. But her lovely smile is melting icebergs.

Music Box 30 (105,235) by Bill from the UK
My CD arrived Friday, the packaging is beautiful. There's a nice paragraph from Mariah about the album and its impact in the fold out digipak, the booklet has some beautiful pictures from the Dreamlover, AYNAF and Never Forget You photoshoots, plus some others from the era. Many pics I've never seen before. The CDs all sound fab, especially Proctor's Theatre.

Moody Mariah Nights (105,233) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I'm in a moody Mariah Nights playlist kind of state of mind today haha and I just wanted to come here and express how much I'm in awe of the artist that is Mariah. She definitely does not get credit. Yes she's known for her vocals but Mariah's pen game, her melodies, her hooks, her lyrics, her "ahead of time" musical visions is just otherworldly and genius. The way she uses her voice too should be studied, how she uses her whistles so creatively, how she layers her background vocals, how she creates a wall of music with her voice. People are always in awe of Taylor Swift and how she's a great songwriter and while I agree Taylor is definitely good but Mariah is a thousand times better and just doesn't get enough credit for it. Mariah, if you're reading this, thank you for being the soundtrack to our lives.

Also my playlist has been all over tonight hahah but it includes but is not limited to The Roof, Babydoll, Love Story (the aye baybay always gets me), Side Effects, Thanx 4 Nothing, GTFO, Crybaby (ok so it's 5 am and I still can't sleep took some medicines but it's not working , yussss queen), Don't Forget About Us, My All, Breakdown, Betcha Gon Know.

Tributes (105,232) by Bobby A from United States
These award show producers are catering to an older audience and Grammy donors who don't appreciate MC's versatility after 1993. The powers to be are still sour about R&B/Hip Hop influence that she started with Daydream.

I know Tori Kelly can sing better than that. She might've really been nervous singing in front of Mimi. At least Mariah shared her on her IG. And I agree that with such a vast catalog they should find something else.

Tributes (105,230) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Don't hate me but I think all the tributes MC gets are just so meh. Why can't we ever get a relevant artist to do the tribute, she's THE Mariah Carey. Also why do people limit the tribute songs to only the first 3-5 years of her career. She's got so many hits I don't get why it's always VOL, Make it Happen etc.

So Ayo Edebiri is hosting SNL with "musical" guest I Don't Know Her. And the gag is that Ayo had a whole lot about her when she was going to do the Superbowl with Shakira. Listen to Ayo on this podcast dragging her.

Oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that dress was awful. On a happier note, my MC30 CD set is on its way. I can't wait. I also get a bit giddy thinking of what MC could pull out of the vault for Daydream 30.

Couture (105,227) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I love the style and jewelry; the concept is stunning. Unfortunately I think the train-bow should have been shimmed down a bit. The crotch area grabs your attention and looks odd. She's always been famous for her legs, so I totally get the vibe, just cover up the crotch. Love the colours, hair and makeup are perfection, and I'm obsessed with the jewelry.

Hahaha right? To be fair though, I found out she's worn that specific designer on more than one occasion before last night. Once for the launch of the Chopard jewelry collab in 2022, and most recently for the Lovers & Friends concert, and they were both black with some gold.

Usher timed his album release around his Superbowl performance. He released his promo single, GLU in early 2023. Then he dropped the official first single, Good Good last summer. This strategy worked for promoting his new album Coming Home. MC needs something similar like headlining a huge outdoor summer concert event along with a summer promo single to garner radio airplay this summer. MC is going to need a radio and Spotify plan to be reintroduce to radio programmers.

I agree. I'll thought overall that Mariah looked stunning. Her face, hair, jewelry were all flawless. While not a huge fan of the dress, I will give her kudos for stepping outside of her comfort zone lately fashion-wise and going for more high fashion moments. We know she likes to recycle the same style of black sequined early 2000's dresses with so I'll give her a pass for trying something new. I feel a new era coming soon and if she is continuing to step outside of her comfort zone visually and musically, I can't wait.
