Re: Perfume (99,749) (99,752) by Edward from USA
Says who? Is the cancel culture coming to the messageboard too? As far as I know, the movie is on streaming services and nobody is complaining about it. We're going to get to a point where people won't be able to joke about anything anymore because somebody's feelings might be getting hurt. Joan Rivers, we really need you!

Mariah hurry up! We desperately need some music or something, the board is going crazy here.

Re: Perfume (99,750) (99,751) by Edward from USA
It has aged very well, I can't say the same about Mariah's perfumes. But oh well. To each his cologne. The original perfume comment was said as a light joke, but I guess we've all gotten hypersensitive lately.

I can't wait for anything from Mariah, even a fart. Mariah, hurry up, we're drowning here.

The reference is obvious, but it's also 18 years old and hasn't aged well.

I understood the reference alright thanks. But it's not acceptable to say anymore.

If you didn't understand the reference, you have outgayed yourself. On Wednesday we wear pink, even though we're not in the 90's when gay men started wearing Mariah's perfumes. I guess we're all living in the past.

I love Tom Fords as well! Except for the peach too, hahaha, peach never translates well, even as juice. My absolute favourite fragrance right now is Louis Vuitton Nuit de Feu. It's got a Tom Ford essence to it!

Aw. Thank you Carlos!

"Too Gay to function." I haven't heard that since the '90s. What year are we in? Anyway, we are aware that scent has no gender or sex right, it's simply a scent. Kinda like how pink and blue are simply colours. It's not a tricky concept. Marketing must do a real number on you.

Re: Perfume (99,740) (99,745) by Anonymous from USA
I love to use M as a perfume and I layer it with a cologne and I get the best of both worlds. My favorite perfumes or whatever are the unisex Tom Ford has put out, they're all delicious, except the peach one, they missed the mark on that one. If I could wear all of Mariah's scents I absolutely would. Who says only women can have the nice things. It's 2022 and time to stop thinking trivial things have to be one way or another.

"I know some here are almost too gay to function, but to the point of wearing perfumes?"

Is that even acceptable to say?

Matty you are a hottie and with a Mariah scent you are even more perfect.

You actually wear them? Luscious Pink actually stung my wrists.

I like Honey and Ribbon the most. I had M, but it must've been bad. It smelled like bootie.

Re: Perfume (99,732) (99,740) by Edward from USA
I know some here are almost too gay to function, but to the point of wearing perfumes? I give you credit for that and those who dare to wear them. The scents are distinctively for women. I love her nail polish though, they're so vividly masculine, the nails on my toes and fingers love them. Oh, and I still have a bottle of her pink water. I refill it with tap water everyday to use at the gym. Sometimes I wonder why women don't look at me though.

Re: Mariah featured in NYTimes article about cheating (99,704) (99,739) by Nikki from usa
I call BS on this. The NY Times and Post were butt hurt that Mariah was in contention with the Beatles records. They also used to accuse MC's stats of being fake because her label released her singles while airplay was high. That one was repeated in '99 with Heartbreaker. Ironically enough, Mariah made an announcement in August of '99 about when the song would be available for airplay and for a single drop. I believe you can find an article about that on this website still. Heartbreaker dropped on the date in September that she stated in August. Which proves the guy wrong who claimed she waited until her airplay was at a peak then switched the date. There's too many accusations made that turned out to be false because they didn't want her breaking any of their records. I call BS on switching barcodes, because that doesn't actually help the record labels. Billboard changed its rules in the mid 90's so many artists were debuting at #1 for the first time. MC benefited most because she appeals to more than one genre whereas the rest primarily ruled just one.

Re: #1's Record Store Day release (99,717) (99,738) by Nikki from usa
Not true. Mariah's been trying to get a Beyonce duet since 2006. She's talked about it a lot. It's never come together. I don't know if it ever will, but it wouldn't be from a lack of trying.

But, George liked her remake. He publicly tweeted it.

Re: Sweetheart (99,723) (99,736) by Nikki from usa
Lol - maybe you guys don't like Sweetheart because it's not a Mariah record. It's JD's track and his production on it. Mariah is only a feature, but does mark the first time where she's all over someone else's record and sounds like the lead. We're so used to hearing rappers overtake her songs to the point she sometimes sounds like a feature on her own track.

Edward, I think that I better stop tweeting period. I have upset a Ella Mai fan about questioning her latest single chart performance. Lol.

Perfume (99,732) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Which of Mariah's perfumes do you like the most? I still wear "M" (this is the absolute best of her collection, and the first), Mine Again, Honey and Never Forget You. I've got the entire collection, except for Dream, That Chick, Ribbon and Gold.

Just curious if anyone else has a ranking of their favourite MC perfumes? The only other celebrity perfumes I have are a couple Beyoncé, and only wear Midnight Heat.

Fun fact: Sophia Loren's Sophia by Cotyin 1980/1981 was the first celebrity perfume; then Cher's with Uninhibited in 1987; then Elizabeth Taylor who blew the market open with Passion and White Diamonds.

Breakdown (99,731) by Bobby A from United States
This song has some of MC's best adlibs and vocals on it. It also shows that MC is brilliant when it comes melodies. I can't wait for the Songwriters Hall Of Fame feature this June.
