I'm seeing on social media many fans being worried about Mariah's schedule and health. Not so much as what's going on with her medically but her being over worked. Can her voice handle it? I have noticed that she sounds her best during the holidays especially during her Christmas shows. I really would like to know does she rest more and has extra tea? I don't think she'll have any problems selling tickets so I hope she delivers and puts on a good show.

Mariah's priorities (111,255)
by TJ from Norway

I do agree about parenting your kids to not swear while talking, as I [too] think it's not necessary to use those words. Did you grow up in a society where there was warnings on movies, albums and so on? I did not. I see the parenting guidance on the different tv series and stuff on Netflix etc, and I'm thinking this has to be a result of the worst generation ever when thinking of parenting. Generation X. We are helicoptering, stuff pillows under their arms (actually mattresses) and trying to protect them in ways that makes them incredibly insecure and not capable to handle normal problems in life. I'm not saying that you're one of those, because I really do believe you're not, but I see the parents of Generation X are often doing that.
I think kids at home, and kids away from their parents can be totally different personalities and behave so differently that a lot of the parents would be shocked. Even in religious communities.
Mariah's kids, I hope get the protecting they need, because I've said from day one that I hoped they would grow up away from fame and the public life she's living.
Sadly this is not my first language, and I hope I made a point here. Peace and love.

I am glad we have warnings. As a mom to three kids (17, 14, 12), I don't want my children thinking those words are acceptable in their daily language. Swear words lack credibility with me. Just so unnecessary, IMHO. Sure my kids are exposed to them daily in school. I teach them to avoid using those words. My hope is that they will use them sparingly like me, lol.

I find it funny somebody posted about why the dislike for this song recently and now I'm listening it to non stop haha. I just listened to the remix for the first time and I like it. I prefer the original but the remix is not bad at all. Very sexy song and the music is good. I wish we could have gotten more Mariah songs from '99.

New Here For It All video (111,233)
by Lambi from USA

"She could also be talking about when the kids leave for the weekend, or any time they're off with Nick." That's pretty deep. In her book, Mariah took great pride in saying Dem Babies had never been away from her for more than 24 hours. They were about 9 then. But now they're in their teens, and that's usually when kids start gravitating more towards dad.
If I were Mariah, I'd be irritated too. Her twins are around kids she probably has no interest in knowing and she has no idea how those kids are being raised and parented. They could easily be bad influences and I get that they are technically the twins' siblings, but still I'd feel the need to keep reminding Roc and Roe that none of this is normal, and Nick is definitely not someone to model yourself after, in terms of creating a family.
As for Anderson, I agree, he's just whack to me, style-wise. He literally dresses like a clown. He gives off that energy of a kid who didn't get much attention growing up and now clings to being "different", by just dressing weird to stand out. It's clownish behavior, it's actually okay to have normalcy, you don't need to wear a bowl cut wig. Brian truly set the standard look-wise. May have not had the money, but he showed up for Mariah during some of her hardest times. He was solid. I really wish it turned out differently for them. Maybe the twins will tell us which one out of Mariah's boyfriends was their favorite, one day.
Anyway, I can't wait to hear the rest. HFIA might be a three-subject song, like Petals and I Wish You Well. And since it's apparently 6 minutes long, she definitely has room to say a lot.

I agree. I was expecting some fast rap singing, or a bunch of staccato, but instead (at least from the snippet) we are getting straight forward singing, connected and may I say beautiful runs and deep lyrics. September 26 can't come soon enough.

Stacey, I like other artists, Celine had a custom-built $75M, 4000-seat created just for her at Caesars Palace called The Collosseum. For years Vegas had the reputation of being where artists with fading careers went to perform, but Celine completely changed that narrative. She made performing in Vegas relevant and prestigious.

I saw Celine in Vegas in 2003. The whole idea seemed so odd. A huge artist like Celine playing Vegas? The same town that loves Wayne Newton? And yet, here we are with many artists doing the same thing years later. Celine was ahead of her time in this respect.

Does an album need a warning because of the words? I went to watch the Book of Mormons in Oslo this weekend, and on the row behind me there was was a family with young kids watching and obviously listening. I guess the parents were quite embarrassed. I'm so glad we usually don't have warnings because of scenes or choice of the words, because, believe me, they already know them.

Same sentiment here. I think that letting go of unrealistic expectations makes the experience so much better. Charts are the last thing on my mind when it comes to "HFIA", I'm just excited for the new music. The last time I felt this kind of anticipation was before E=MC² dropped. Unlike Stacey, I haven't caved in to listening to snippets, but I love reading all your thoughts about it. The anticipation is seriously killing me.

I think the Vegas residency is less intense and a better idea than a tour because she is able to stay in one place. I feel better about it than a US or international tour for the Christmas shows. Stella was a mess, but I do think the instinct to start booking residencies was smart. Celine Dion really was ahead of her time when she started the Vegas shows - now everyone is doing it.
I remember Mariah sounding pretty good in clips from the "The Butterfly Returns" residency. Being in one place allows her to rest more and presumably would allow her to keep a more consistent sleep schedule.
I am glad she said a hard "No" to the interview questions about touring behind "Here for It All". That would be 100 percent the wrong move right now. She's been pushing herself way too hard and it is exacerbating whatever underlying health issues she has going on. She really needs to take time off.

I agree, Bryan is fine and dresses decent compared to Anderson. Mariah looked so happy when they were together. I really wish they were still a thing because they made a great couple. I truly felt Bryan really loved her and wasn't out for her money etc. For a while I felt MC had finally found her man but I guess maybe Bryan wanted a family or there were other reasons why they broke up. Even with Nick I never really cared for him or took him serious because he was sort of goofy, and well look what happened he cheated on her. Like how dare you. I do hope Mariah finds love again one day and that it lasts.

I've broken my own rule and listened to the HFIA snippet multiple times. The sh$% word is so unnecessary. The album doesn't have the warning, explicit lyrics like MIAM did. I think it may be edited on the album version but allowed on the digital single. But man, I am loving those lyrics. So deep.

Mariah in Brazil (111,241)
by MusicfanJ from Germany

Yes, I remember you're right. But this "eternally twelve thing" is also unhealthy and a bit weird. It means that you are responsible for nothing because you're a kid. The same with the time. Nothing's wrong with growing older and wiser. When Mariah was very young she seemed very wise and smart. I'm just tired of MC being obsessed with eternally 12. As you wrote after Crustella it was the worst. And Nick was also a nightmare at the end.

What do you think about the Vegas shows? Good idea, yes or no and why? A friend of mine wanted to go to the New York show last year, Beacon theatre I guess. I went to the Christmas show in Berlin a few years ago (2018), and the show was really good and the Christmas spirit was there. It was also fun to see Bryan Tanaka and even the kids were on stage too. Time flies.

Hey Stacey, I hope [you're] well? I've just been on UK iTunes and it's showing explicit here for that track. Interesting though the album didn't show up if I just typed Mariah Carey in search bar. Now I had to put in the full album title too for it to show up on search. I wonder if she's gonna edit it but highly doubt it. I can only wish she would take that word out, it's completely unnecessary.

The song HFIA has me feeling Looking In vibes. No, both songs are quite different from each other, in melody, etc. Looking In represented a potential life changing moment. HFIA acknowledges all her moments and how thryve shaped MC today. Yet, I can't help tie the two songs together. The lyrics in both songs are so deep and thought provoking. At almost 48, on October 4th, I am here for it all too.
